Damien's Signature
Permalink

Some of us on Twitter have been comparing our Damien autographs so I thought I'd show mine here too.  I've a question.  Am I the only one who can't quite read his signature?   His M's look like F's, so it looks like Dafi or DaMo.  Looks like after signing all those autographs this year, he's given up signing his surname in full too.  smile

I would love to know if any of you are handwriting experts and can give us some clues!

has anyone had a variation on the unusual 'M'?

my ones (that most peeps have already seen) are also like this!

It is quite an artistic signature, nice handwriting!

Great topic idea Laura!

It is def 'on topic', so do you mind if I move it to Damien general discussion? :)

I have never seen your Damien autographs before, I love the '(from London)' part, so friendly and individual!

To me it is just that Damien's 'M's look like 'L's, and if you read it as such, he signs 'Damien M' (and then always a 'x' /kiss? )

The signed picture was from Leeds - the 'M's' looks like 'L's' and the ticket was from London where the 'M's' look like 'F's' ???

I think the M always looks like a sort of cross between f and l. It's the same on the picture and the program that he signed for me. I agree with conflicted domino that it reads like Damien M - does the x stand in for the rest of the surname? Not sure what to make of that. That said I love the signature. Very beautiful.

That one on the right looks very f like Su, I agree yours look like 'Damo'...I it's a great nickname!

mine definitely has an 'i' after the 'M' though so that was 'Damien'

I'd like to see an aputograph from the beginning of the run and then one from the end and compare them

you mean because Damien's hand may have got tired from all that signing? or he will have worked on his signature technique ?

I can actually read his full name in the t-shirt signature. He does do very odd 'm's', the first stroke is very long with the 'm' bit at the top but it doesn't go back down again if you see what i mean but i can definitely read the 'ien' part of the signature.

I can imagine nowadays he just signs his surname with a plain 'M', again in that odd way of his for quickness.
