Hal's character Being Human is so multidimensional it is hard to pic fave scenes! but here are some of mine with conflicted Hal, his inner pain related to his past and his constant battle with his 'true nature'
The first time I saw the scene between Hal and Kirby, where Kirby tells Hal he has met some of his victims in pergatory, I was blown away..with few lines at all, Damien conveys intense emotion (hands up who cried too? ) and there is that tension between horror of the monstrous things he has done and yet still sympathising totally with him
Similarly the scene between Hal and the almighty Mr Snow in the cafe
Apart from the obvious I love this next Hal scene because it contains that uniquely Being Human mix of comedy, tragedy, and horror and shows Hal's constant inner pain and battle
Agreed Eileen the scenes with Hal and Eve are wonderful, don't forget the scenes where he is teetering on the edge with her as well, like the end of episode 2 when Tom catches him...about to..or was he!?! just before he blows down the dominoes ..or the dream within a dream scene in Hold The Front Page...or when he was about to..or was he? and Annie asked him to leave the house in 'A Spectre Calls'....and that thrillng;y epic episdeo when Hal had his first blood for 55 years and returned to the house and tom left him in charge of looking after Eve.....and he was about to..but he didn't, did he?! I really enjoyed seeing the bad Hal side too, that is the joy of his character, so many dimensions.
Our first bad Hal scene is a fave of mine too Laura,: and the first full on vamp face! imagine how much fun that was to play!!
These 2 are my favourite too. I also love the Hal 1855 scene too. I keep rewinding the bits where he walks upstairs licking the blood from his fingers & half undressed (Kind of like an evil version of that Mr Darcy scene from Pride & Prejudice) and I love it when he tells Fergus to "pop down to the celler", so casually, as if he's a nice boss, then when he's staring at the servent, as if he's assessing how/when/if he's going to kill her. (I'll have to add that scene on here later, but I can't get on YouTube at the moment).

The 'i needed to vent and i don't like him much'- count to ten. The head tilt is just so...terrifying and he hasn't spoken a word!
The scene after Pearl and Leo have crossed over and he's almost huddled over in the room with Annie bustling about, just about holding on but he's prostrate with grief and also of fear that the support network he's clung to for over fifty years has gone.
WOW. yes all of those moments ...wrenchingly intense...and ..the dominoes..and have we finished flirting ..and.are you somehow drunk...and ...1955 was a very powerful 60 minutes!
I love all scenes that are already mentioned too! I also like the scene in 1955 where Annie walks in on Hal builing up his domino spiral, and especially this quote: 'I build them up, piece by piece, and when I'm finished, I take them down again, piece by piece' aaah <3 I might actually put that in my signature..
And the scene in the War Child where he walks into the building where mr Snow is with the bomb and then mr Snow whispers in his ear.. I might have cried at that scene because I was scared that he was going to blow himself up.. even though I knew he wouldn't.. I'm so obsessed :p

ooh yes..great choice areyousomehowdrunk.... mesmerising acting there ..every word, every expression, delivered in such a way... is this possibly the first time we get a deeper insight into Hal?!
My heart stopped beating in that second moment you mentioned...the scenes with Hal and Mr Snow had an almost electrical energy!
you are not alone *hug*
how sbout the scsne with Hal and Tom ..when Tom is building the bomb in the cafe? oh my.. i sobbed from that moment on i think...
"I had a shield. A red one", just how he reaches his limit and it all just comes out, i think also the expression on his face when Michaela throws the pennies at him.
In the same episode 'I'm a vampire, he's a werewolf, any questions'
And back at the house once Fergus shows up and he reveals Hal to be an Old One and Hal plays along until whump, he stakes him. There is nothing in his expression to imply that he's playing Fergus until that stake goes in.
Obvious favourite of mine is from Hold the Front Page & Hal's succubus induced dream sequence when he talks of the conquest in Madrid 1874 who he wooed with a thousand tulips.
I love everything about this sequence from the desperation shown with "I'm always hungry", to the sarcasm of "I've only been here a couple of weeks & you've already told me twice" to the seductive way he quotes Keats. Even when he staked Tom, I just thought 'oh my'.
Also loved the emphasis on the H in " Does the hound want another wHipping?"
Not to mention the hit me, again.....harder part at the end.
I'll stop now *fans self*.

OMG. yes, YES Becca. those sides to Hal...extremes even...for me another adrenalised scene, stunning acting.. I just cannot get over the writing either, at the time of first watching blown away by it but it is a feeling that grows bigger with time, and I look back in retrospect and even on the gazillionth watch, I see new things. it is just very clever. sorry to gush and i know noone needs persuading but..yeh.
I love when Hal is (unsuccessfully) trying to hide from Alex in the cafe and he punches Tom's leg regarding the date and his look of utter horror at the day release comment and then the little hand wave at the end of the scene.
From 'Making History', the wine bar scene after he's already been drinking....from the pulling the stool across without looking at it to her departure, yikes!.
Same episode, the discovery of Alex's body and his legs go from under him and then he begs Cutler not to go ahead with his plan, the 'we don't deserve it' part...
Once more, when Cutler locks him in the cellar with Alex's body and how they irritate each other, Hal's cry of frustration is classic and rather funny.

Wonderful Hal moments from episode 7 there Lisa, which hopefully we will be chatting more about tomorrow night! God yes, that stool dragging moment - the whole scene, as Hal's face changes from cool and controlled to pure hunger to abject horror and distress - all the Hal spectrum and his polarities!

That video is well done, the last part I always laugh the most
Hmm favourite scenes.. There are too many to list but I'll cut it down :P
When he's singing in the kitchen in the 5th episode, that brief moment when Annie and Hal look at eachother with Annie's awkward face is hysterical xD Then after he's been touched by Yvonne and has that dream gawd >.< The way he jumped on her..
Oh I loved that part aswell Ruby with Hal's quick movement underneath the counter to hide from AlexI thought it was very sweet. Also when he punches Tom at the end
Hmm.. Oh on episode 7 where he moves the stool, just gives you the feeling of his power and control and I might seem pervy in this bit but when he says "we can have sex" no joke I did stop breathing for about a minute
Just realized that I've not actually posted on this one! So here goes!
I think my all time favorite scene is Hal's man of God speech. It's so wonderfully executed, and watching it the first time, I think is when I really fell in love with him.( ) I also really like the scene in the pawn shop at the end of the 2nd episode. I also enjoy most of the scenes in the cafe. They're all quite funny! Another scene that really stands out to me, is the scene in episode 4 when he goes to talk to the coroner. And then, Ofcourse, I love the scenes where he sings or anytime he "vamps-out".
(I love the new smilies, so I used as many as I could lol! )

Hi Sami, only just saw your post here, sorry! Would it be safe to say you like it when Hal gets his fangs out?! The "Not A Man Of God" speech is one I return to again and again when I think of really powerfully intense Hal moments, but there are so many.. I think I have to go with Becca in my ultimate response to this question, there is simply no slack or wastage in the writing or acting in every single Hal moment....love love love it all.
