After Being Human sadly ended, my sister and i sat over tea and mused what could be next for your lovely self. We settled on 'Ripper Street' in a 'wouldn't it be cool if...' kind of mood. Maybe with you playing Hal, a 500+ year old vampire made us muse about it, you do have a certain ageless look about you that made that role so possible.
Anyway, imagine our surprise when we discovered that you'd indeed garnered a role in Ripper Street. I watched series one and loved it so personally speaking i was a bit over the moon, whether it was for a single episode, two or three episodes or an entire series. I kept faith and hoped for the latter and lo and behold, here you are, a new character to get to know, Detective Constable Albert Flight.
I hope it's a regular gig for you and that should there be a third series (and who's to say there won't be?) that you'll be included in that. I remember watching you in Being Human and your 'I'm Not a Man of God' speech is still my favourite BH speech ever and feeling a tingle down my spine at just how special the speech was and just how effectively you delivered it and i'm hoping for the same with Ripper Street.
A BBC One Sunday night prime time drama, you must be pinching yourself! I'm utterly thrilled for you and your continuing success. Best wishes for Ripper Street Damien, this level of recognition of your talent is such a boon for you and for all of us fans who've followed you since day one. Enjoy it and i look forward to seeing what is in store for you next. With love, Lisa x
Congratulations on RIPPER STREET Damien. I'm looking forward to seeing what Detective Constable Albert Flight gets up to in his new job.
I loved the first series and Sunday nights in February and March were a treat with first Ripper Street and then Being Human. Both were fabulous dramas with well written, gripping plots and terrific actors. I'm sad there is no Being Human but delighted that you have been promoted to a prime-time drama on BBC One. Now you'll get the bigger audience that you deserve. Best wishes and with lots of love, London Laura Xx

It does not surprise me one bit that you landed a role in a well written, widely syndicated show. Your innate talent and dedication to your roles is clear - the recognition of this was inevitable. I hadn't seen Ripper Street before, but it just became available on Netflix and I'm entranced! Fantastic S1, I can only imagine how much more so it will be with you joining the cast in S2. I'm fairly certain I will squee every time you come on camera, which I hope is often.
Cannot wait to see your Det. Const. Flight, what type of character he is and how you portray him. I oscillate between wanting a sweet faced, good guy and wanting some sort of dark twist to him... whatever he is, I know you will bring a nuanced performance and that you'll be wooing thousands of more fans.
best wishes and much love,
xx Iris

Totally made up for you that you landed a role in Ripper Street. I'm very much looking foward to seeing you back on my tv and really excited by the prospect of getting to know DC Albert Flight.
I'm looking forward to seeing the new series of Ripper Street! I really enjoyed Being Human and I anticipate many more fascinating roles from you in the future! Which I suppose, inevitably, will include Game of Thrones! I must say, I am enjoying the Being Human/Ripper Street/Game of Thrones actor loan program!
Cheers!

Congratulations on your new role in Ripper Street! Cannot wait to see you back on TV. You were absolutely Hal-tastic in Being Human and you will be again in Ripper Street. I hope you enjoy yourself on set and good luck with the future. I hope you continue to appear on our screens!!!

I'm not part of this little project now. Which gives me a clarity I didn't have before. Annie, George, Mitchell, Nina, the two of you, what none of you realised...what none of us realised; Is the desire to be human is the end, not the beginning. To want it is to have it. You're not wasting your time Tom, you've already won.
I will always see you as Hal (As the username states), and I'm guessing you're going to use Your English accent (*swoon*), but I hope you become a huge star because of Ripper street (Not that you didnt because on Being Human). So good luck! And I seriously hope you are not a victim other wise I may just hurt someone... -One of your many fan's!

Huge Congratulations on your new role on Ripper Street. I watched the first series and really enjoyed it but am now even more excited now I know that I will see Detective Flight as part of H Division. I hope being a copper won't offend your vampire sensibilities too much!
I look forward to this being merely the next step in your acting career and that you continue to get loads of fantastic opportunities to showcase your talents (and that we get the chance to see them!)
Damien,
I'm so looking forward to seeing you in Ripper Street! It is a great show, another great opportunity for you, and of course a chance for us to see you again. Congratulations! I expect many more amazing things to follow as more people realize how talented you are and start lining up for the chance to work with you (if they aren't already).

The Originals: Holly: Congratulations, Damien! We've been a huge fan of Ripper Street since it started and we all felt that you would be brilliant in this show. Very very excited for season 2, even more so now! Best of luck, Detective Albert Flight! x
The Originals: Brian: I thought you were going to be the new Doctor, but I'm sure opportunities will come up in the future. Keep up the brilliant work, looking forward to watching you in your next show in London. x

Just registered here to wish you congrats on Ripper Street. I'm excited to see more of you on my TV, especially on such a cool show, and nice for you to be closer to home.
Salutations & Felicitations Damien,
Congadulations on your new role on Ripper Street. I've never actually seen the show, but I'm going to start watching now. I must say that your role of Hal was truly inspired. I was extremely impressed with your ability to bring such "life" to a potentially two-dimentional character, especially coming in after Adien Turner. I look forward to seeing you in a great many more roles. I'm new to such fandome but you are an exceptional actor so here I am. Good luck and stay well.
