Please feel free to share reactions to these polls, I have a few thoughts and may ramble a bit so apologies in advance!

First of all thanks to everyone who voted, I found it fun to create and challenging to choose. How about you?

Before I go on to any analysis I have to stress this was just a bit of fun no way near scientific or representative of universal feelings not least because we left it a bit late to get the polls up, but hopefully most Damien Molony fans who are online will have seen these polls and had a chance to add their votes.
Also following the forum twitter account are quite a few Ripper Street fans who did not know Damien before then, so the audience were a mixture of that and hardcore Being Human fans , as well as those if us who have just enjoyed following Damien career form the start and everything that he has been in!

1. Best Series

I think it would be fair to say many of assumed from the start Being Human would win this poll, I was advised to not put this one up, and perhaps it did have an unfair advantage - Being Human is our precious Beloved Show that made us Damien's fans, Damien was a lead character, and a much loved character with lots and lots of things to remember him by. In contrast, in Ripper Street Damien was not a lead character, and had far less establishing screen time and far less perhaps to invest us in Flight. But, Damien's performance and the intrigue surrounding his character, (and Flight is another conflicted and tormented soul) the tension and suspense surrounding his secrets, and the growing sense of tragedy with a tinge of darkness and the ultimate revelation of his story. So even though Being Human won, I am delighted to see that the margin between the was actually relatively small.
So bravo Being Human for winning with 57.25%! and bravo to Ripper Street for coming a very close second with 42.75%!

2. Best Episode

Wow, we have a very clear winner in this category Ripper Street 2 Episode 4, when Flight went undercover and met Evelyn. I have to say the voting for this category was very clear from the start, the leader was always this ep. Being Human Series 5 ep 5 was second for most of the poll but then the votes climbed for the mighty and apocalyptic final episode to put it in second place. Interesting that a Ripper Street episode came tops in this poll but Ripper Street did not come top in the best series poll. there were more votes in the series poll though s maybe less people bothered to vote for their favourite ep.
I am actually delighted to see Flight at the top there, so many moments of stunning performance from Damien in this ep, moving in a different way than we had seen with Hal. Certainly my own favourite ep in Ripper Street. People also liked the final 2 episodes of Ripper Street, I wonder if this is a vote of support for flight as his situation was uncovered?

I am a little baffled that 'become man' had votes - although it was an amazing episode overall it had very little Damien in it.


3. Best Speech

two very clear winners in this category - both Hal's 'a monster inside you' speech from BH503 and his 'Sylvie' monologue from BH504 were the front runners throughout voting and so well deserved, both are stunning. the overall fave Hal speech from our poll earlier in the year, including BH series 4, was the 'not a man of god' speech, but in terms of the las series, these were the faves.

Albert's speech in RS204 was also pretty high up throughout the voting, I have to say, I adore that speech and performance, so underplayed beautiful subtle and utterly authentic it is almost unfair putting it up against the BH ones, for me it's a winner in it's own right ,
bravo Damien!


4. Best Costume

this poll was the most closely fought with Flights blue suit / fedora and Hal's 1918 uniform vying for top place throughout! But it looks like the RS costumes won out in the end... Damien does wear a suit, cravat and a hat so very well.

5. Best Expression

It was amazing seeing the votes come in for this poll as there were votes right across the board, out of 18 options there were only 2 that didn't receive a vote, and these are faves remember not just expressions people like! so most of them were faves for people, but it looks like Molonians like badass Hal and his sassy face the best! But FLight's face in the final ep of Ripper Street isn't do too badly either!
Is there a pattern here? we like the emotional climax for the character in the final episodes ?


6. Most Thuddable moment

OOh so this one is really fun! look how closed the top 2 are, but Lord Hal and Lady Catherine's sexy sparring tango all bathed in blue light was the winner!
Quite surprising not see Hal's press ups higher up! and it looks like the Flight and Shine moment was a big thud for people, which is possibly the most unintentional (on the writers part) thud of the poll?!

What are your reactions? any surprises?

Am very pleased to see that I voted for 5 of the 6 wnners - although I did vote for more than one in some catagories!  I'm glad RS came a close second for best series - even though I voted for BH (I had to! S5 had it's issues for me...but I couldn't not vote for Being Human) there's no denying that RS is an excellent series.  The biggest surprise for me is that The Last Broadcast came 2nd for best ep.  The first 15 mins of that ep is probably my most watched film clip ever! but I rarely watch it all the way to the end...
