That was quite a wonderful find! I'm excited to find out more. I don't suppose we'll ever actually hear about it from the man himself...
Of course this means I need to find a way to watch Irish TV channels. I swear it would be easier to move over there!

Lol, domino! I know....why is a pic of a trailer door so exciting?!

According to the Irish Independent, Clean Break is expected to air over Christmas. The article also states that the lead roles go to Sean Byrne and Cillian Tobin - who have not been mentioned up to this point.
A new drama written by Wexford writer Billy Roche started filming in the county this week.

Two Wexford students from the Corish Wallace Performing Arts School have also been cast in the drama.

It is expected that the drama will be broadcast during the Christmas season.
I'm curious about the last article I posted and have 2 questions.
1. If it is in production now, how can it be ready for broadcast over Christmas? seems like an almost impossible timescale in terms of post production?
2. If Sean Byrne and Cillian Tobin are playing the lead roles, why has there been no other mentions of them, including in the press release?
It seems to be made in quite quickly, or, they have been doing this all in secret and wanted to surprise everyone. Maybe that's one way to get more attention to the show?
According to reports, filming only began last week Jozie, I am not sure about the Christmas premiere date, hopefully we will hear more!
Just catching up on previous posts in this topic!
Whimsy, Ireland is such a beautiful country too! Luck Irish fans, maybe an opportunity to be extra or watch filming?
Pearl, yes fingers crossed for wider circulation somehow - Clean Break is already being mentioned in the same way as the very popular Love/Hate which is available on DVD - but the Damien Molony fandom are going to want to see it sooner than that!
Rosie, absolutely right! Very excited about the Damien role announcements made in short succession, The Hard Problem, his upcoming audio book and now Clean Break! It does make you wonder when Damien will fit in rehearsals for THP!
Fifi, oh good point, maybe Danny Quinn will be a clean shaven character? cannot wait to find out more!
New article from the Irish Independent (Wexford People) which answers both questions in my post before last! Conratulations to the two young actors in the lead teenage roles. Also... boxing club?
A new drama written by Wexford writer Billy Roche started filming in the county this week.
Thirteen-year-old Sean Byrne is playing the lead teenage role of 'Keith' in the four-part drama which has the working title of 'Clean Break' and was commissioned for RTE by independent companies Octagon Films and 152 Productions. Cillian Tobin (15) plays his older brother 'Derek'.
Both boys are long-time students of the Corish-Wallace Performing Arts School and attend St. Peter's College which has given them a special exemption to miss classes during filming.
The drama which is expected to be broadcast during the Christmas season, is set in Wexford and centres on the story of a community driven by love, greed, status and revenge.
It is directed by Gillies MacKinnon whose previous work includes 'Behind the Lines' and Damien O' Donnell of 'East is East'.
The cast includes accomplished actors Adam Fergus, Aidan McArdle, Simone Kirby, Damien Molony, Kelly Thornton and Ned Dennehy.
The production is co-funded by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland with the Television Licence Fee.
Filming began in Dublin in a boxing club setting in early October before switching last week to Wexford where scenes were shot in locations around the town including outside the Red Kettle in Mallin Street, in the library and at the Slobs.
Carmel and Lauren-Corish Wallace, directors of the Performing Arts School said they are very excited about Sean and Cillian's first big television break.
'They were chosen by Maureen Hughes, the casting director fo Love/Hate and secured the roles after a long process of auditions and callbacks in Wexford and Dublin,' said Lauren.
'It's fantastic for them. They are getting the opportunity to work alongside some well-known and established actors. We are very proud of them,' she added.
Dermot Murphy, a past student of the school who is now a full-time actor best known for 'Raw', also has a role in the drama.
Cillian Tobin is a son of teacher and amateur actor Paul Tobin of Bridge Drama.
Billy Roche co-wrote the screenplay for 2010 RTE drama The Eclipse with Conor McPherson which was based on a short story by the Wexford author.
According to this, the episodes are 60 mins long Jozie, so a decent length. You're right -Damien probably could not work harder if he tried, but us Molonians always want more!
Someone, that may or may not be me, submitted 'Clean Break' to IMDb, and it has been accepted. Good to see it on Damien's IMDb page. 'Clean Break' is the 'working title' so we will have to see if it changes further down the line!
That's great, so I can put it on polish site about movies, tv shows and actors :) Stil have to wait for someone to accept it, but hopefully it won't take long :D
