Damien’s eagerly anticipated TV project Clean Break officially has an air date: the Irish drama premieres Sunday 27th September on RTÉ One.
The announcement comes with a brand new trailer, featuring Damien as his character Danny Quinn alongside Adam Fergus, Kelly Thornton, Aidan McArdle and Ned Dennehy.
The four-part drama will take the 9.30pm slot on the Irish Channel as part of their new season schedule.
Written by the acclaimed writer Billy Roche (The Eclipse) and produced by Octagon Films, the makers of Love/Hate, Clean Break is a universal tale of community, love and greed. The drama is set around Frank, a car dealer running out of fiscal rope, who catapults himself into serious trouble with the botched tiger kidnapping the local bank manager’s family, the repercussions of which will rock his hometown and all the people around him. The cast includes Adam Fergus (Frank Mallon), Aidan McArdle (Desmond Rane), Simone Kirby (Annette Rane), and Damien Molony (Danny Quinn). RTÉ
Our first proper glimpses of Danny tease what is in store for him, including posing suited for a photo and what looks like an angsty scene with a love interest.
We’re excited to meet Damien’s new character, and if the new trailer is anything to go by, we’re in for a thrilling ride.

I notice there is a little logo for RTE player at the bottom right hand corner of the screen at the end of the clip. Fingers firmly crossed for international coverage.
And lots of clues to Danny's story in this beauty of a trailer - including the love interest we speculated about earlier!
Absolutely hoping 'Clean Break' will be available on the international RTÉ player - it would be a travesty if the majority of the DaMo fanbase could not watch it! To clarify to peeps outside the UK, in this instance even the UK fans would be excluded, only those in NI could watch.
It would be devastating to be denied a chance to see Clean Break after waiting so long and being so encouraging of it, as a group of fans. Let's hope for the best!

Well I hope that I have a change to see this when it's airing! If not I will write a letter to RTÈ about the DVD release... I will tell them that there are people who need to see this
Must admit that I'm blindly optimistic that this will turn up on the rte player. To the point where I'm just assuming it will! I'm also assuming that it will turn up on the BBC eventually......
We now have a whole topic for talking about international availability here!
hopefully this will be helpful and keep all the discussion on this issue in one place (it is in a number of forum topics at the moment which my poor brain finds confusing!)
