Same reviewer / review, different publication, with additional thoughts at the end that very much worth reading!

This is an excellent review! Love it when other people really appreciate Damien's talent. It's so good to see Tiger Raid being so well-received. highfive

The ability Gleeson and Molony have to flip between relatable comradeship to the reviled depths they sometimes sink to; each revealing new shades of personality to their given characters, they never let their figurative index off of the trigger.  Talk about performances worth raving over!

I said it over on the interview thread already, but the more I read about Tiger Raid, the more it feels like The Body of an American in subject matter, intensity and scope.  Immersive, exploring war and the dark hearts of men, dialogue heavy, intense quick timeframe, whole story carried by just two actors flipping back and forth... Damien is once again mesmerizing audiences with his ability to portray nuance and hidden layers so naturally, with his ability to seamlessly go from dark to light to dark again.  We've always contended that he's a force to be reckoned with.  I'm sure this is only the first of many raving reviews!

Yes!!  When I read the bit about flipping, The Body of an American came to my mind.....but I must admit I hadn't really realised how many parallels there were!  Well that makes me happy....The Body of an American was an amazing piece of theatre so any comparisons have to be positive!

This review is pretty much all I could've hoped for....it couldn't be much better really!  It's always nice to see somebody new raving about Damien........ Fingers ctossed for some more reviews after tonight's screening.

And it's pretty amazing to think they filmed the whole thing in just 19 days (I presume the rest of the time they were there was spent in training?) and interesting that it was filmed chronologically.   I guess these sorts of things only become possible when you're working with such a small cast.

I wouldn't have thought it was possible....but I'm even more impatient to see it now!

Marvellous reviews for Damien's first starring role. He deserves this, must be over the moon (is there an emoticon for that, Domino?) after reading this. I feel he is finally getting the recognition his talent and hard work deserve.

I believe we are lacking a specific over the moon emoticon Ellie - we do have a 'floating' , or a 'w00t '.. or would any of these do? coolbounce giddy dancing bow highfive drinking
