desperately trying to find out the exterior location for the French Chateau in 'The Trinity'. We get a glimpse of it as Lady Catherine runs in to find Hal (lucky gal!)
Any ideas? I've done a good google search to no avail.
That's Tredegar House in Newport. Also the location where Lady Mary lives in S5E3 and has the stairs where Hal comes up all bloody in the flashback with Fergus in S4E3. It's been used in other shows too. I toured last summer and even found a Dalek in the stables! Lol Someone on the forum is a docent there, but I can't remember who.

Hi Kate! As you can see from whimsy's link, Tredegar House is a National Trust property. It's well worth a visit if you can get there. The scene inside the chateau - Hal's bedroom where he and Lady Catherine had theiŕ fight - was also filmed inside the house.
