This might just be the ultimate Damien interview of all time, brilliantly hosted by Jarlath Regan.

Below is the 30 min excerpt, why not treat yourself to the full 1 hour 20 min episode, well worth it for the same price as a coffee!

The Kung Fu Panda story is hilarious... I laughed ALOT throughout this whole interview! There is a lot more good stuff in the full version, recommend it

It's very well worth it Ellie! I was going to try to summarise but... there is just soooo much in it!

Really funny stuff, so natural honest and humble too. It's great to hear Damien so comfortably open in an interview and Jarlath is a brilliant interviewer, really relaxed and low key but asking all the right questions... I've liked him since hearing Roisin Conaty on his podcast. Talking of Roisin C, the GameFace insights in this interview may have been my favourite...

Also...There is a Being Human related mention Damien just casually drops in at the end that has kind of left my jaw hanging! (before anyone get too excited it is past related, as much as we all want a BH film...)

I did join up, domino, I just had to hear such a long interview. Well worth it.

What made me laugh was his being told he should study law in Galway! My great-grandfather did that, but dropped out after a year to join the army - he said he wasn't going to spend the rest of his life arguing over parcels of land! Galway is a beautiful city, though, full of life.

Damien sounded so relaxed, but I'll bet he's glad to be starting work again. Actors must find "resting" quite stressful.

I'm sure I heard his children in the background once or twice, too.

Excellent Ellie, it's good to treat yourself Very well worth it, and isn't it lovely and long? I must have another listen soon.

Lol, I did wonder about the significance of law in Galway it seems such a specific and abstract thing to suggest?

Yes, Brassic 3 was a definite so resting might have felt more relaxing without covid... I am curious how they are going to maintain social distancing and what the protocols on set will be. Can't imagine them shooting it with the cast in masks!

There were definite sounds of children playing in the background, I wondered too, but I guess it could be either end of the call. How cute though!

I'm still laughing at the thought of the disney characters at drama school... he should have been applauded for inventiveness! The black tights and king fu panda...
