I may have spent last night sobbing my way through 'Truly Madly Deeply'.. Although he is known and loved for mostly other films, this will always be the Alan Rickman film for me - possibly the most brilliant, moving and unapologetically emosh and sentimental 'Ghost' and love story ever.

RIP Alan Rickman.

I've watched some truly incredible films in the past year. But I can't ever remember being as excited for one as I am for this!

OMG! Oh me oh my!

coolbounce

The original Blade Runner is one of my fave all time films. And dystopian sci fi is my biggest film passion. This neo-noir sci-fi is looking like it is going straight on that list too! (I may have watched these trailers a few too many times..)

The cinematography! the score! the only thing that could make me more excited is if Damien was in it!

I always get rather apprehensive when I hear about remakes or sequels of classic films which are already pretty perfect as they are but I just watched this trailer and this looks AMAZING!

Please do not shut up about this biggrin

I'm also waiting for the movie. As I wrote before, I had 2 posters hanging in my first apartment. One of them was a poster of Blade Runner. I love this movie so much.

After I saw the last scene of Being Human, my second thought was that I absolutely must watch Blade Runner again.

I have watched the trailer in German and can not wait. The release of the film in Germany is the 5th of October. This is not so long. cool

I'm totally with you on that Rosie, the original movie is such a precious, classic, unbeatable gem. I think we can be certain that the score and cinematography will be a m a z i n g, and Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling too. my only remaining concern is the script - and the storyline, which have to also be a m a z i n g. But with original film writer Hampton Quinn penning the screenplay again, and with Denis Villeneuve (top, top filmmaker - Arrival, Enemy, Prisoner, Incendies, Sicario) at the helm, how can it not be? He has a special sophistic touch for the surreal/ other worldy, perfect for this. My main fear is ruining the ambiguity of the first film, answering too many questions and making it too simplistic.

Sana, good to know you are also very excited for the film! I cannot count how many times I've watched Blade Runner and will definitely be having several re-watches before the new film comes out.
