This will be my first post, forgive me if i sound like a prat ! And feel free to slap me if i get annoying ! This is my 5th year watching TV programmes being filmed in Wales, including series 3 & 4 of BH and now s5. Others include TW, DW, SJA and Gavin & Stacey. The BH cast, crew and all the fans i've met along the way are extremly friendly and huggable, including the odd miserable one ;) Can't praise them enough. Have made some great friends incl Dorina, Jo, Deb, and Bryony and now made a few new ones Michael and Sue, great post by the way :D

@doesitsay louise your so sweet :) I love that we have had the opportunity to meet and im glad to call you my friend! I'd like to think that after my chats with damien he likes us and he obviously enjoys meeting fans :) He's such a lovely guy i feel even luckier today!
@sami The crew are seriously SO nice! They were sitting with us the whole time. The driver issy was chatting to us, sat with us on the wall! One of the security guards was taking the mick out of me and when damien came over he said go on then give him a hug! Go on go for a kiss! He was so naughty! They are such a laugh :) x
@UJ i can honestly say i had the best day ever! Just incredible :) im already planning another trip! maybe even 2!!! lol x

@londonlaura Im sure he has something lined up....he's too talented not too! I think he might have just wanted to avoid too many questions about what is coming up *crosses fingers* i would love to go and see him at the stage door again though x

Oh on the note of 'theatre' when dorina said bye to damien as she left in the afternoon she said hope to see you next year or maybe at a play sooner and he said 'Well i hope so! if you hear of any job offers let me know!'.........
And yes....im still floating and randomly smiling at memories of yesterday! lol xx
It makes me sad to think that in 2 months time he'll be job hunting. I so hope he has lots of auditions and/or something lined up when filming BH finishes. I would love him to do more reading or with that lovely voice do voice-overs or audio books - whatever accent he uses!

I would honestly be surprised if Damien wasn't head hunted instead, look at the way his career has gone, the work has been flowing steadily!
Can't remember who it was but an actor did mention their experience of an indie shoot was flexibility, if someone had an idea they could just get on and execute it, but on a big production with resources the indie could only dream of, they were limited with what they could do because all those resources were tied up and they'd have to get permission and clearances from a whole list of people. There's a varity of reasons why each shoot can vary. It really is done to who's calling the shots, if they're organised or faffing about and so on.

Hey, Sue, don't suppose Damien mentioned anything about his dream to work for next to nothing on a micro budget indie shoot? Mainly nights. Probably in the cold. Not so much a dream but more of a nightmare.

Lol! I wonder which direction that will take?? more theatre between this and THE NEXT series of BH? or more tv or even as you say a film UJ, that would be a dream. there must have been nights shoots with Being Human too...or atleast evenings? It has often struck me that some television is almost harder to shoot than a film..think of the volume of footage and material...the time on set and location..and with something as high quality a Being Human, although not particularly FX heavy, the post production too. Films... I guess it varies according to budget, and director...maybe more sitting around in trailers and waiting to be called for your scene..having to do more takes?
One thing is certain though, Damien already has experience in all 3 arenas and has shown himself to be a very talented actor with impressive range, with an intensity and versatility (and dare I say it, popularity) that is bound to appeal to directors of all fields!
Well the Northumberland based series 'Vera' just got recommissioned...i could see him in that in a guest role...and it's filmed on location in Northumberland too! #plots #daydreams

I can't believe how lucky i am to have had a day like this! What an amazing show to welcome it's fans the way all the cast and crew do! I've never really been part of a 'fandom' or even blogged or followed a show the way i do with being human! I actually feel really like they include us and the way they interact with us on twitter and in real life is brill! I Absolutely hope and pray that there will be more filming next year so i can go watch filming again!

Well 'Vera' is currently filming now as i've just recently found out (i follow David Leon on Twitter, he's a local boy) so i suppose that is out. Pity, i would've liked to have seen him in an ep of that. While i adore Hal and i loved Motl, i'd really like for him to get a role outside of 'Being Human' on TV. Fingers crossed that he does :)
Thanks everyone in the next few days i'm going to bore you all silly and get on your nerves lol I agree i'd like to see Damien in 'other' TV projects but still hoping for at least another season of BH. Plus would like to see him on stage as i missed out on the last one :(
Awwww this feels like ages ago! I was so excited to go this day as i didnt know if damien was gonna be there and then BOOM! A whole day with him :) Really hope series 6 happens so i can do it all over again x

You're right sue...it does seem like ages ago. And I've completely changed my mind about visiting filming locations! I thought that I didn't want to risk spoilers, but if there is a series 6 then I would definately be up for it. I'm only about 1hr from Barry after all...it'd be rude not to!
