Excellent addition Laura, great to have a bit of insider knowledge, thank you
Yes, the dvd info seems out of place in the context of everything else..but when I asked SFX for the source they said an official BBC press release from BBC Worldwide /2entertain...one ends to believe what one's told when its the BBC!
We still have no exact date for Being Human Series 5 but lots of conflicting and confusing bits of info!
~ According to SFX magazine, a DVD promo containing the new (SPOILERY) Being Human series 5 synopsis gave a date for the DVD for 25 Februray. On that basis, it would be safe to assume an air date of January, fro a six weeks series.
~ However, BBC three are showing re-runs of Being Human Series 4 beginning this week, with what looks like 2 episodes a week - which would take us up to the week beginning 28 Jan - and presuming there will be no overlap with the start of series 5, the first Sunday /possible air date would be 3 Feb!
~ According to Insidemedietrack.com Being Human series 5 is set to air on February!
Anyone placing bets?! I think we will find out this week!
Based on a bit of "insider knowledge" I'm placing bets on either Sunday 3rd or 10th Feb. I think that DVD date is wrong as my colleage is a DVD Reviews Editor and he has not had any info about BH5 DVD and there's nothing on Amazon either. If it was available in Feb, they would have been taking pre-orders by now.

My money's been on feb 3 all along.....although once I'd decided the dvd release date must be wrong, i did have a bit of a panic that feb 25 might be the air date. That would mean that it would still be airing over Easter though (unlikely) so I'm sticking with feb 3.
Ooh... that is a thought fifi, about th dvd day actually being the air date...and would explain the confusion. I do wish we could see this supposed press release from BBC Worldwide/2 entertain where the info was originally published!
It is looking later and later, considering we still have not had the trailer yet! I am beginning to think that Cassie John (BH director Phil John's neice) may have been misinformed about the air date being end of Jan!
I'm starting to think more and more that the feb 25th date is actually the air date and they've made a mistake....
I really hope not though! I'd be happy with the 3rd of feb but I just want to know when it is gonna be now so that we can start really looking forward to it!
Ps when the series airs we should start a game on here....spot the blogger....;)haha x

I'm hoping the air date is The 3rd feb, I can't wait much longer I'm going to pop!! We normally get the show early jan so the 3rd wouldn't be too far behind that
Hi leanneloveschoc! first of all please allow me to welcome you warmly to the forum, congrats on your first post, thanks for taking the leap and diving in!
The anticipation is electric for series 5! and I'm quite enjoying it!
I believe the air date for the first episode of series 4 last year was Sunday 5 February?

I'm hoping it's Feb 3rd. If it's later it's going to botch up the last paragraph of a certain article I'm working on for a magazine that's going on sale on 21st February

some-one, somewhere, said that last year the trailer was aired 11 days before ep one. Seems very close to me, but if the series starts on feb 3 and the same thing happens.....then we've still got well over a week to wait for a trailer. Although this year I feel there is more momentum? I don't know if that's just because I'm more involved in it? Or because no-one really knew what to expect last year?

I agree with you. There is more momentum this time round than with Season 4. There are More trailers, that interview on T4 last year and the spoilers in the magazines. I also feel more involved with it this year too.

Just realised I did not follow up on my last comment, and since then a few more bits of info, often conflicting about the BH S5 date have come to light!
If we are to try and make head or tale of it all, a list is called for!
1. BBC Media Centre
It turns out MattyP was referring to the scheduling info on the BBC Media Centre website. So let's take that first. It has nothing listed for BBC three on any of the Sundays untill the end of January. But I was unde the impression the scheduling was incomplete and there were some unplaced progs, so how conclusive that is we can't be sure. http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/proginfo/search/?medium=tv&channel=BBC_THREE&yearweek=&day=
Phew! Lots of rumours and bits and bobs but no still no definitive answer, with so many different sources, maybe best not to draw any conclusions, but it is looking like February is most likely. We need Sherlock Hal!
Please feel free to add to this list if you come across any more rumours!
The page has been updated and has more info. Domino, if this is too spoilery then feel free to delete it.
