I don't even know what to say, but *HUGS TO EVERYONE*

I trust in Toby to make it incredible though, I think episode 1 is insurance enough of that, but I can't imagine no more Hal or Tom or Alex after next month. It's been such short seasons anyway and there is so much potential to tell the stories of these characters! I'm sorry, my sadness is showing :(

Mm. I'm a big fan of shows ending when they should, and not dragging on just for the sake of it. Once the story's told, fine, it's the end ... It's the end already?!?!? WTF?!

Well, once this season is over, then I'll know how I really feel about this.

Guess I saw it coming but it’s still sad. It’s probably a good thing, though. If they feel they can’t better a season then there’s no point in writing further because then we’re left with a further season that they know and we know is sub-standard in comparison to the one before. They’re doing the right thing, as hard as that is.

…that is assuming it’s been their decision. If it’s the BBC’s decision and it’s based on viewing numbers, they only have themselves to blame due to lack of promotion. But if it’s been a writer’s decision to end on a high then that’s smart.

Gutted! i wonder if the cast knew at the begining of filming & were contractually obliged not to say anything?
As the creator says in his statement "All good thing's come to an end & once the final credits roll the show belongs to the fans". We have the DVD/BLUE-RAY's & this great fan site for Damien & all his future work.

When I wrote to Damien in the summer I mentioned a wish for Hal  to somehow regain his humanity and end the pain of his struggle, in a way that had never happened before in the Being Humaniverse, but to see him go all the way to the other extreme in the process. In the video Damien hints at something like this - whether he meant metaphorically or literally we will find out... and 'within their grasp' is ambiguous enough for things to go either way, Either way------- there is no doubt at all it is going to be apocalyptic and EPIC.

J-Baptiste thank you for these words:
"As the creator says in his statement "All good thing's come to an end & once the final credits roll the show belongs to the fans". We have the DVD/BLUE-RAY's & this great fan site for Damien & all his future work."
There can be no doubt at all that Damien will go on to do great things - this closed door will mean others can open. I am just very sad to lose the unique and wonderful friend-on-the-screen Hal. But you bet, the site will support Damien throughout his career, as it always has, wherever it may take him!

I'm still so sad, I'm going to cry like a baby at episode 6! I really don't like that the finaly is 'going to leave us guessing' though, I'd much rather have a happy ending without cliffhangers!

I just wish there would be one more series, five more eps is just not enough to really get to know the trio!

did I miss something about the 'leave us guessing'? Toby Whithouse's statement implied the finale was going to be very final, in a way that only a very final finale can be:
"But much like the cast change from seasons 3 to 4, we viewed the news as an opportunity. It meant I could actually write a climax for the show, instead of it just popping out to the shops at the end of season 5 and never coming back. You've no idea how rare that is in television, and what a great opportunity it is to write something suitably definitive and satisfactory."

'Consequently we've created what I hope you'll agree is an epic, thrilling and shocking finale that'll keep the fans guessing and speculating for years to come.'

People have been speculating for a little while that this may be the final series. I'd always held onto a shred of hope that maybe not, maybe there was another series left.

It sounds very much like when Toby got the commission for series 5 that it was the last one. So on that i'm glad that he has the opportunity to write the end of the show how he sees fit. I'm glad that it goes out on his terms and not on a cliffhanger and then quietly cancelled. So while i wasn't exactly shocked at it's end (i won't say cancellation), i'm sad and disappointed that we aren't going to have any more new stories about Tom, Hal and Alex. I'm sad that they didn't get their third series to even up the numbers with the Original Line Up.

But Toby posted a really lovely tweet, as did the official Being Human twitter account, we've heard from the important people (just not the three principle actors just yet) and that's what counts. They've cared about the fans to do that. I'm sure Damien, Kate and Michael will have something to say in time, perhaps once the finale has aired.

So while i'm extremely sad at the end of what i considered 'my show', i'm hoping for good things for the trio, i hope that we get to see Damien on our tv screens in a new project in the near future. He's too good a talent to be ignored.

The trio look sad in that video. cry Kate sounds a bit chocked up. cry  I'm really going to miss these guys! fangswerewolfghost

Black Thursday started for me 12 hrs ago.  Found out 30 seconds after I woke up. (yeah Twitter addict). This is what I wrote on the blog this morning:

A part of me just died - the positively giddy part.  I feel like I've lost my root.  I'm lost, drifting like smoke on the breeze.  Little signs were there, but it's still a shock.  Still want to deny it.  All the good shows are sacrificed in the name of money and reality TV.  They can take away the show, take away a future for the wonderful characters I've come to love, but I still have the memories of the past and the wonderful friends I've made.  They can't take that away from me.  #BeingHumanForever.

Then I raged on Twitter why? Why? WHY? If bbc3 wants 'new' shows, why can't Being Human move to bbc2 or bbc1.  If Toby Whithouse has a new project, why can't other writers take over?  This show is internationally popular, why can't they find the money/spot for it.  Why can't a US channel partner up with bbc to keep it going.  Why can't I have millions of dollars to make the show happen myself?! And WHY did they announce it now, so that it's a cloud hanging over S5.  Why couldn't they wait till after the last Episode aired, or even just before it aired?  I see the sense in TW having been told ahead of time, and being able to write a spectacular final season, rather than leaving it on a dissatisfactory cliffhanger, but announcing it now accomplishes nothing.  It just disappoints the fans and like I said, hangs like a cloud over us.

I thought I'd come to the acceptance stage by now, but based on the carb binge I just had and when I was driving I just wanted to go faster and faster and was banging on the steering wheel, so I'm guessing I'm in a combo depression/frothing rage stage. :(

Now I have a stomach ache to accompany the heartache that's been my companion this day.  I don't know what tomorrow will bring, I hope a little bit of happy.  I want to hug you all in person but since I can't...
