Reading this makes me really sad (again) :( I understand when tv shows are cancelled because of poor ratings or because they just don't have anything new or interesting to offer but this wasn't the case. WHY, BBC? WHY?
Does anyone know about any new BBC project that is supposed to 'replace' BH?

Anyway great article, thanks for posting.

I did hesitate to pst the article jennster, I guess it can bring up our feelings of sadness and dismay at the decision to end the show. But I also think this piece is recognition of the brilliance of Being Human!

I don't think it was being advertised as a replacement but there was, i think, an expectation we would shift our allegiances to 'In The Flesh' as it was pitched to us. it was aired the week after BH ended. I have ranted elsewhere on the forum how annoyed I was by that so i wont bore everyone to tears again with that

NO show could ever replace Being Human!

I love this article.  And I somehow see it as quite positive.  Despite the closing comment 'this really is the end' the simple fact that this article was written has a certain optimism.  I could never tire of reading anything which asks that simple question.  It may sound like a rhetorical question, but if enough people ask it, then maybe....just maybe, the BBC will reconsider. (I need my rose-tinted specs, ok!)

My current fantasy is that we're gonna get a Christmas special - would do as a start, wouldn't it?

I'd be grateful for some short webisodes. But I guess no one has money or/and time for that. :/

A Christmas special Being Human style boggles the mind! yes please!
Agree, it matters in a positive way when outside the fandom complains about the lunacy of the decision.
we could always begin a kickstarter fund!

Not sure my finances are up to it.  I'd happily donate my house to use as a set - except that by the time you'd squeezed the cast in there'd be no room for any crew!  Think I've just fantasised my own, private, live episode of being human!!
