mentioned it yesterday whimsy, but thanks for posting the tweets!

Casting details for Series 2 are also starting to appear on the Ripper Street IMdb page

Glenn Speers will be in episode 2. Keep your eyes peeled for details of Damiens' episodes!

If it starts in October then it'll have it's finale just before the Christmas programming. First season was eight episodes.

ADR on 'Ripper Street' done, first Ep of the new series looks fantastic.

 

So I don't know much about TV making, but if they are doing the dubbing (ADR) it seems to me the episode is mostly done in post process.  Certainly all cut together in order to get the timing right.  Soooo.... sounds like First Episode is almost in the can!!!  I hold hope for an October airdate! biggrin

If they've got to ADR then they're pretty much done (unless they're indecisive) as it's expensive to get the cast in to overdub their lines if it then all gets re-edited.

So an October TX is looking likely...on the assumption they start audio work on ep2 soon.

You see the ignore.gif didn't work....I just can't keep away from this.  (totally cheated with the emoticon, and cut and pasted yours, domino....I really must check out how to use them!)

Haven't worked it out, and don't know what day Christmas is on, but I'm pretty sure that Nov would be too late to be finished by Christmas.  Keep thinking that Oct just seems a really fast turnaround - and have now started fantasising about a Ripper Street Christmas special....

Christmas Day is a Wednesday this year - sad that I knew that off the top of my head! So the last episode could be Dec 22nd which, counting back 8 weeks, gives a start date of November 3rd. So maybe it will be a Nov TX rather than October...

Every day I am becoming more excited for the uk air date confirmation of Ripper Street S2!

Filming is not yet completed though, several on set photos appeared online this morning from Dublin. None including Damien, not sure if he is still filming! action

Ah! So exciting. It's airing earlier than I expected it to here. I'm elated! For some reason I thought it wouldn't air on BBC America until the New Year. Anyway, this is good news for me.

Yes, 2014 was the given date for series 2 when the recommissioning was originally announced.

We are still on tenterhooks here for the uk date! I would love to know how TV Times mag arrived at October.

Being human finished filming at the end of October and aired in feb....

If it was a 4 month turnaround ish I'd say it would air in January....I can't see it airing this year if I'm honest but we shall see x

Tiger Aspect tweeted 'Autumn' but were insistent that was not confirmation.

It is unlikely that it will air later in the UK than the US, so unless the official date given by BBC Worldwide press release for BBCA is a mistake.... we can assume it will be this side of Christmas!

Oh yeh true I forgot the American date had been confirmed! That is weird though...they must need time to epic and stuff? Ugh who knows! The bbc are pains in the bum! ;)
