hehehe....I love it all domino!!! Our wee man is going to be a busy boy it seems! LOL Thanks for playing along!
Ruby, it's all in fun. I wasn't suggesting Damien is the star of RS. And quite frankly I'm ambivalent about him as Dr. Who. Not my first choice, but for him to get such a coveted role, the recognition he deserves for his talent, and definitely ALOT more telly time... well who wouldn't want that for him. (I don't know if its something HE would want either)
I don't know how the powers that be decide these things and I wont venture to speculate why RS is airing earlier than WE expected. Maybe they always planned to air it when they are...
But YAY for earlier DaMo time! They just released RS on Netflix, and I've convinced DH that we must watch it soon!

Oops, sorry girls...i didn't mean to get carried away. I suppose i'm just too practically minded for my own good sometimes. Apologies.
But supposing he did get offered Twelve and he did accept it, then it would probably mean bye bye to Ripper Street because apparently filming Doctor Who as well as promoting it is very much a full time thing, but of course, far too early to speculate. We don't know who's going to be Twelve yet and we don't know his role on Ripper Street yet, he may be more comfortable with RS and stick with that. It's all shrouded in (frustrating) mystery!! ;)
@damienmolony I can't believe you'd do that to me!!!
She could be taking the piss, but makes me wonder what their on-screen relationship is....

oh is she Rose? love interest sounds promising. I saw on the Twitter someone said she was swinging around a poker the other night...
I'm going to have to find that topic when I start watching Ripper Street S1. Which will be soon...

@Lisa, no worries, it is always important to clarify that we are simply playing, the hundreds of visitors viewing the forum may become confused or take something that is said as truth . (you'd be surprised)
The facts remain that Damien does have a role in Ripper Street but we know nothing about it at all, and Damien is a favourite for Doctor WHO amongst the fans (and happily, media).
Maybe we can steer the topic back on track to Ripper Street and leave the DW stuff to our topics on that subject before things get too confusing? (my brain can only cope with one thing at a time peeps!)
@whimsy ooh.. intriguing! Charlene McKenna played Josie. Mitchell's love interest in Being Human, so that would be a kind of weird parallel. I have a bit of a girl crush on her, so that may cause some kind of brain meltdown for me! haha!
Also, it's going to be really great to add another show to watch this winter. December weather always makes me a little sad. Minneapolis basically turns into a tundra for the next 4 + months and it's always super dark! One of the things that gets us through is something good to watch.
@domino That's Josie?!?! Oh my, if Damien plays a love interest for her, she'd be the luckiest girl on the planet. Mitchell AND Hal, Aidan Turner AND Damien Molony. Yup, luckiest girl...

Must admit that I'm interested by the idea of a connection between Damien's character and Rose....especially as
Spoiler
she isn't 'working' any more.
Although the press release includes the phrase "the streets teeter on the brink of moral collapse"...so we'll have to see..
Agree whimsy - it seems Charlene McKenna is one lucky lady!!
I came across the teaser trailer for series one (purely by coincidence....it's not like I was looking for it, or anything!). It actually says on the trailer '...this autumn' - but series one didn't start until 30 Dec. On the other hand, the trailer first aired on 10 Aug, which seems really early for a series which wasn't starting until after christmas.....so maybe the transmission of series one was delayed for some reason?
I'm just rambling now, aren't I....

That tweet of hers does imply that perhaps Damien's character will be a love interest for Rose. I'm even more intrigued now, if that's at all possible.
domino, I didn't see any typos except I would also suggest capitalizing "Victorian" and in the same paragraph capitalizing "UK". Otherwise its very professional as all your features are! I swear DaMo's agent should hire you as his publicist!
I watched S1 E1 today!!! I'm drawn in already and really can't wait to see Damien in it. *needs to find the RS discussion topic now*

thank you Lisa, fifi and whimsy for the proofreading! not one of my most in-depth features just an info giving exercise, was waiting for the UK date but could not hold out any longer!
lol whimsy that would be nice I am not going to lie, even to continue voluntarily as i am now - but there are tons of fan sitesfor actors out there doing a far better job who do it for the love of it, as do I.
fifi, ohh. now that is interesting....I hope you don't mind that i spoiler tagged part of your comment about Rose, in case others have not seen it or got that far in the first series.
For the general discussion topic for Ripper Street (not Damien related) including a link to the script for episode 1, click here!
ooh i like the idea of October. We will see it before the American audiences i know that. It's a UK show, it would be sacrilege (like showing Doctor Who in the US before the UK...)
