What a wonderful show Strictly is, just the right amount of celebratory sparkle to brighten the increasingly chilly nights!
I properly loved Saturday's show, the first Argentine Tango of the series, so of course!
I thought Kate did an amazing job and that the judges were a bit harsh, especially when comparing the scores with some of the other dances which were far less technical and had far less content. It may not have been the sharpest and snappiest argentine tango ever, but it was intense in all the right ways. One of my fave dances of the night!
Another was Faye and Giovanni's tango, stunning choreography and perfectly performed, and even more intense!
Stacey and Kevin have also consistently been faves, this week was no exception. Their interpretation of street was genius!
Graeme was very graceful in ballroom mode, lovely to watch. Danny is my fave of the male dancers, such poise and talent, I must have been watching a different dance to the judges on Saturday! So glad he wasn't in the dance off. Joe has grown on me too, he's really developing quickly into an excellent dancer in all the dances!
What an incredible Strictly tonight! Utter joy. Such an upbeat energy throughout the show, smile on my face all the way. Apart from the emotional moments, and there were some of those too!
So pleased for Lauren, that was a beautiful, beautiful Viennese waltz with AJ, it was emotional. I also felt emotional during Ashley’s dance and it was the first time I’ve really connected with her. She’s so good and makes it look so easy that it’s almost hard to root for her, but tonight I felt the heart of her performance. Still loving Stacey and Kevin, and Faye and Giovanni. Tonight Karen and Charles stood out for me too. They all did absolutely brilliantly !
Blackpool tomorrow! So sad to see Danny go last week. He had some moves didn't he? But they are all doing so well this year! Lauren and AJ will be dancing the Argentine Tango and oh my .. I cannot wait!
Everyone did really well, my usual faves shone for me - Kevin and Stacey and Faye and Giovanni.
I loved Lauren and AJs argentine tango and felt the judges were particularly hard on her, and their scores seemed inconsistent when you compare their dance to one with less difficulty and technique like Graeme and Oti.
Really glad they were not in the final two, but so sad to see Kate go, she was such a bright light!
