As you know, every entry in the Homage To Hal Competition will have a page in the photo book for Damien, I am in the process of making it....
I have just sent every entrant a PM, but in case you missed it for any reason I am also posting here.
Would it be possible for everyone who entered to please email me with your original homage photo attached?When a pic is posted as an attachment on the forum, as it was for the competition, it has a far lower resolution than needed to optimize the image for publishing

If not, your image will still appear in the photo book, but it may be a smaller size.
While I am in the process of gathering the higher quality pics from everyone and wait to hear back from different publishing platforms -
who would be interested in:
1. An online version of the book (and would you prefer a free online book you can flick through, or an ebook you can purchase?)
2 A hard copy of the Homage To Hal Photobook? (and what would be the most you would pay?)
To give you an idea, the cost of producing the hard cover book with image dust wrap in the size we need is minimum £38.19 (which I will be paying).
10 copies would be minimum £343.71 - that is £34.31 per copy (the more books we buy the lower the bulk cost).
there may be an option to buy direct from the publisher rather than me buying up front (which i would prefer because the posing on costs would be added and shipping abroad would be price extortionate) but i would like an idea of the demand for that.
and finally......
Does anyone have any concerns about making the book available for other forumers to buy, or having it online for people to read?
Aww - I'd been thinking how nice it would be to have a copy of this! BUT - I can't afford.....anything really, sadly!! (Damien/Being Human has already cost me to much this year, I may have to cancel Christmas!) So an on-line version would be perfect for me. However...I have no objections to it being available, in any format, for other people to read.
I would definitely be interested in an online book. I could possibly afford an ebook, but I'm not sure if I could afford a hard copy book. My money is quite tight at the moment.
I also don't really have concerns about other forumers to read/buy it.

I would definitely be interested in a copy. My heart says a hard copy would be lovely and would have pride of place on my bookshelf! But my purse is trying to convince me of an online version instead! I have no objections about the book being available for other people to read.

thank you fifi and HailLordHal, the price is going to be the issue with hard copies I think, but sounds like an online version would appeal? to you both at least.
I'd adore a hard copy (who wouldn't, I am sure it's beautiful), but alas. I am a penniless college student. *insert sad face* My vote therefore goes for an online copy. I have no objections with other forumers/guests reading or looking at my photo in either form.
HI all thank you for your responses... it has helped with the publishing platform decision. I will focus on the online version.
The book itself will now be designed (by me) and created, this may take a while depending on the company, but I will keep you all updated!
I am simply going to go with a minimalist theme showcasing the pictures only, but the book is going to be a 12 x 12 inch square, to accommodate the portrait and landscape pics - because not everyone followed the instructions on portrait only.
For those who have not sent me their high res pics I will do my best, but please be aware that the picture quality is not going to be great, however...I am sure Damien will absolutely love them all!
Damien's photo book is almost there and I am going to publish and order it TODAY! It takes 6 - 10 days to make and then I will be sending it to the man himself.
He is absolutely going to LOVE it.
A quick question for you all, would you prefer this cover, a collage of all our homages, or a plain cover?

Hi fifi, you are almost too late, but I have decided to go for plain cover anyway, with a smaller version of this on the first page, with the introductory writing, thank you for your opinion!
Damn I missed this! I hope my photo was good enough for the book. I bet it will look amazing whatever u choose as a cover. I asked in the other topic but how long til The boy gets it? I'm so excited I may even break my twitter silence for it, hope he tweets!!!:D xxx

Hi Ciara, your pic was quite good quality anyway and will look stunning in the final book! We did go for the plain cover in the end, but the graphic went on the inside front page, slightly smaller, along with the introduction.
To answer your question about when Damien will receive it I can only say as soon as it arrives to me - it takes from 6 - 10 working days to make. I will send it off as soon as possible.
Damien has been very quiet on twitter the past few weeks, I hope it is not a sign of him leaving the Twittersphere because that would be sad, but there are lots of actors who are not on twitter at all and perhaps we could just be unconditionally happy with knowing he will be receiving our gift!
