Knightley and glofigs, (and other american forumers!) I did ask this in the ep 2 topic, but are there any edits that you have noticed so far, to fit in the ads?

Domino, I only watched Damien's first ep when it originally aired in the UK. From here on out everything is new to me. But I didn't notice anything edited out in his first ep. BBC America is airing it from 9pm-10:15pm. They do that with Doctor Who too. That way they don't have to edit the ep to make it fit into an hour. The problem with Being Human was they were squeezing it into an hour so they were forced to cut stuff out (and infuriate the fans!). I guess they like Ripper Street more than they liked BH....

I'm happy to hear next week is Damo's big ep!  This episode I was beginning to wonder if he was even on the show anymore!  He was hardly in it!  lol.  It was still a good ep though!

Me, but then you know that already ;)

I love the set of 4 screencaps where Flight looks concerned about the plight of the match girls. He is such a good hearted boy (excluding the obvious...)

Despite Flight not being in this episode that much there are lots of lovely Flight-esque moments. And this is a great episode in general.

Interesting you bring that moment up Rosie. As we were discussing with the last episode, watching back each time seems to shed different lights on every Flight moment. We know Flight has a past and that made me almost have a Flight and the match girl fan fic moment!

The other moment that struck me (even more this time) was when Atherton joked about keeping a list of things that bring Reid happiness and the look Flight gave. I love the ambiguity of that look, knowing what we know about Flight. He yearns to please and yet he is there to spy.

Flight and the match girl! I've always read that scene as 'evidence' of how deeply Flight feels the injustices of the poor and the exploited.

It is interesting to see how much Flight wants Reid's praise but we now know Flight's purpose for being there and that makes Flight's need for acceptance and recognition of his skills so complex. I guess we have to assume that Shine blackmailed Flight into spying on Reid by threatening to reveal his past (which raises so many questions about how and why Flight became a policeman rather than just a criminal in Shine's pay) but Flight may have had his own reasons for wanting to come to Leman Street. He is clearly aware of Reid's reputation. Flight's "it is an honour, I won't let you down" comment seems sycophantic but does appear to be genuinely meant. Does Flight see Reid as someone he can learn from so that he can further his career? Flight is personally getting something out of the arrangement and may willingly have come to Leman Street anyway even if he hadn't been Shine's spy. He does seem to have genuine empathy and sympathy for people in Whitechapel and wants to help. Flight's need to do well and his ambition seems to be more than just to make amends for his past.

You'll be shocked to know I started a RS rewatch!  Need a hit of Damo while I'm scrapbooking about meeting him, but BH & Suspects is too distracting. It's a sad thing, but the fact that he's not in RS as much is to my advantage as I actually stand a chance of concentrating on my work, with breaks to play spot the elusive Flight game.

Might be time to unearth my Flight gifs. Actually the only show I consistently made them for!
