Kat I do not!  Although he can't seem to get the upper hand when it comes to women.  Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. *mauled with lust* wink

This Den of Geek review of this episode actually brings up a few points that I agree with:

http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/ripper-street/28453/ripper-street-series-2-episode-6-review-a-stronger-loving-world

"the individual narrative strands were all weighty enough on their own to produce an interesting episode each, but the fast pace the episode adopted left little for each subplot to bed in."

"This episode finally allowed me to put my finger on what has been irking me throughout this series of Ripper Street and it is that of continuity of the world of Whitechapel around them... Each week, the episode’s writers pick up a historical thread that provides the most basic context for the mystery that the police have to solve. I say basic because once used, this context is dropped in favour of something else. One week, we had civil unrest in the form of the Irish community, the episode before, industrial action with the matchbox girls; neither of these were mentioned before, nor have they appeared since."

"With the mystery of the week structure that Ripper Street has adopted, it is easy to dismiss this with the idea that it is just integral to the episodic nature of the series. However, it leads to often clunky exposition scenes as Reid, apparently the font of all knowledge when it comes to advances in biology, medicine, finance and religion, has to stop and explain the historical context of the episode in question for the audience. Also, the writers have been keen to build in character arcs for their players which provided far and above the most effective scenes of the series (though both Flight and Best appear to have been relegated back to their respective dutiful assistant and weaselly journalist roles despite participating in some hefty character work in previous episodes)."

It is a thing of beauty glofigs! (even if it is odd that they put the Flight sticker with ep 6 not ep 4!)

Looking forward to this episode next week. I think it's one of the best in terms of the story.

Again not enough Flight but he does get slashed with a knife and gets to kick a door in! I love his tentative face when they go into the cult to find Drake. I also have a particular love of the way Flight says "we got him leastwise"

Jerome Flynn was amazing in this series of Ripper Street, particularly in this episode.

Some great examples of what I call Floogle (Flight-Google) in this ep. Just ask Flight anything and he'll find out the answer!

Another example of Flight's good heart - when Samuel cuts his throat, both Flight and Jackson run to help him while Reid and Drake just stand there.

When Ripper Street 2 first aired we were all a little disappointed at the lack of Flight in some of these eps, but looking back, it was a real thrill seeing Damien and this new character alongside Matthew McF, Jerome Flynn and Adam Rotherberg.... and that whole team dynamic created a lot of the dramatic tension in series 2!

Love these screencaps, domino! Flight seems so much part of the team at this point. So interesting to see what's going to happen next in episode 7!

Makes me miss Flight. I'd love to see him come back and really mix things up with the team dynamics!
