Flight 's speech to Reid always makes me cry because it's Flight 's moment of real strength. He doesn't blame anyone else for what's happened and wants to tell Reid how much working for him has meant to him. With all the things we have assumed have happened to Flight in his life, the fact that he has always kept going and tried to make the best life he can for himself shows how strong he is.
The more I watch this episode the more overcome I am! It's suuuuuch powerul stuff! I feel that most in the first moments of his confession at H Division.. then to Reid, Rosie. Or.. maybe when he tells Shine he was a better man when he found him. Heart breaking. It is not all black and white either though... which I enjoy.
But it leaves us all with so many questions ! What now for Flight ? Does Reid let him go ? Is he punished ? What happens to Shine ?
Although Reid feels Flight has betrayed him I think he is ultimately sympathetic to Flight. You see Reid's anger change to sympathy when Flight says he tried to outrun his shame. I think Reid would want to help Flight.
Even though Flight is not in this episode that much Damien absolutely makes the most of every second with his incredibly heart breaking powerful portrayal.
