I wonder what these scenes are about... especially the one where he looks like he's about to do the two step. lol
He looks comfy and warm. and he's wearing his stripey socks! (sorry, I have a bit of an obsession with those)

you two! and all I was thinking with those two shots was how harrowing the play might be, considering the subject matter! but now you've mentioned it....
I like the hat. SO much better than that bumblebee one he had on when doing If You Don't Let Us Dream...

Poor Damo he will stop posing for photos soon if his appearance gets over analysed each time!
Su and fifi, it will add to the intensity of the play just having the 2 actors perform, not only their main characters but i believe all the minor ones too
I do wonder what is happening in that photo where Damien is standing on one leg...
Curious that the Royal & Derngate posted these piccies. I'm assuming the've been rehearsing at The Gate.

It's a co-production. The director James Dacre, is the artistic director of the Royal & Derngate so it's not too surprising that the photos appeared on their facebook page. I assume they had been rehearsing in Northampton prior to Christmas per Damiens tweet so these pictures could be from then.

what's that you say about them playing over 30 roles? I thought they were each just one person.

Yes, over thirty roles between them whimsy, there are 2 main characters though... oddly I cannot find the page on the Gate webiste where i first read that. but:
"The two actors take on more than 30 roles “in an exhilarating new form of documentary drama”. It places these two men’s battles—both public and private—against a backdrop of some of the most graphic images of war." source
I wonder if there will be costume changes. At least between 1st & 2nd act as they will be "located" in different places.

I wonder if it would be worth tweeting/emailing the theatres & Dan O'Brien them about it? He's got The War Reporter as an opera and there are some Vimeo videos on it (though curiously when I play them I can't see any picture. Could just be my computer.)

Well we had a trailer so fingers crossed for some footagec I have never had much of a result asking for footage relating to theatre whimsy, as we found out with Travelling light, there are rights agreements and things with the actors and writers, not sure if asking for it would make a difference. But I do hope over the whole run we have a bit of a glimpse at least, and as I mentioned elsewhere I have not given up on the idea of some kind of reportage on the play.
My fave pic of the last group is def the piggy back one.. Or is damien standing on a chair? I wonder what scene that is for. Hopefully some of our forumers going to see the play can tell us soon!
