interesting... that is definitely a new listing.  Sept 29.  that would mean S2 needs to start airing at least mid-Aug to get possibly up to 7 episodes in time.  Damien did say very (very) soon.  And the fact that S1 took so long to come out on DVD, but they would have both available right after S2 airing.  

 

I need to decide if I want to cancel my S1 pre-order...

In addition to the s1 dvd and the s1/s2 dvd, Amazon now has a s2 dvd listed....also to be released 29/9/14.

thank you for bumping this up fifi I had forgotten to update.

Heads up everyone, Fremantle (production company) have confirmed that the Suspects Series 2 listings (both for the Series 1 & 2 DVD and the Series 2 DVD) are incorrect and that Amazon will be taking them down.

This was last week and the listings are still up, so it is still a little confusing. 

However my feeling is that the Series 2 DVD may well follow on behind, and there may well be a S1&S2 DVD. But if you are anything like me, I will not be able to wait.... or ignore my curiosity about the extras on the Series 1 DVD (which will not necessarily be on the S1 & S2 DVD).

Hope this info helps people make a choice!

Well that's really strange, because I got an email from amazon advertising the s2 dvd (presumably because I've pre-ordered s1) which is how I found out about it!

Very strange indeed, they are changing this DVD product all the time...

Well, they might change it couple more times before they settle on something! Perhaps because S2 is coming soon and the dvd will be released when S2 ends and there will be both seasons on DVD.

well crap, not sure what to do!  I just canceled S1 DVD couple days ago and pre-ordered S1/S2.  I have the S1 episodes already, so I guess I'll just wait to see if someone else gets S1 DVD and what kind of extras are on it...

Sorry that the confusion is still out there for everyone, I note the listings are still on Amazon today. It is a bit concerning if orders have been accepted and emails are being sent on these! I was reassured by Fremantle twice that "all references to series 2 will be removed", but I will contact them again.

Heads up everyone!!! DVD info direct from Fremantle's Senior Product Manager:

 

I work in the Home Entertainment division over here at Fremantle.  I’m looking after at the DVD release of Suspects and am dealing with Amazon to get the correct listing on the site.  It’s not easy!

 

I have been following up with Amazon only this morning on this very issue.   The series 2 and series 1 & 2 of Suspects have been “closed” on Amazon so Amazon can’t accept any orders for them.  However although the titles are removed from our Amazon Advantage account (this is the trade account that we use to upload products for sales to Amazon) , the detail page will remain online.  They offer the option to buy and sell used copies of all of the titles listed on their website, which is done via the detail page of the item.  

 

This morning I followed up with them saying that as these DVDs have never physically existed,  there will be no used copies to buy or sell so PLEASE can the details be removed from the site as it is very confusing.

The Amazon listing for Suspects Series 1 & 2 DVD has been removed  and the Series 2 DVD listing will be removed soon, it just takes a while to come off the system, so I recommend noone pre-orders it. 

 

However the Suspects Series1 DVD is released in 3 shorts weeks, so get your order in now!

No problem fifi, Fremantle are keen to get it clarified and have been trying to get Amazon to remove these listings for a while, I think my contacting them just alerted them that Amazon had not done so yet.

Some peeps must have the DVD by now.  Are there any extras?  I'm presuming the answer is no, and as it's still on demand5 I'm not intending to buy it yet - but if by any chance there are, then I'll change my mind pretty rapidly.....

Hi fifi, there are no extras on the Series 1 DVD unfortunately. But, if you collect all of Damien's work that is available, it is still a must buy!

Oh I will absolutely have to get it at some point - I'm kinda hoping that Father Chistmas might bring it (I'll be sure to suggest that he gets it from the forum shop!)  And maybe by then s2 will be available too.  But in the mean-time, the money that I've saved will almost pay for my train ticket to London.....!
