international fans! this is a european region DVD but it will play on a region free dvd player, or on vlc media player (free reputable media player) on and pc / laptop withdvd disc drive!

According to Amazon it is released on 17 November 2014! Not 14 November 2013!

Of course, the episodes are all available on channel 5 demand until 2015.....so fingers crossed for some great extras on the DVD!

The S1 dvd is being advertised on Amazon with 10 eps....so I wonder how that's going to work?  Releasing it in Nov suggests that the decision had already been made to delay transmission of the last 5 eps....but by then there will have been another series...with additional episodes.

I'm confused!!

My feeling is the DVD will be series 1 and series 2 fifi.

At first I thought with series 2 comprising the remaining 5 episodes when it airs in the Autumn. But now we know there is additional filming for series 2, it is not clear how many episodes there will be in the second series. This is just a preview of the dvd, so I am sure they will adjust it nearer the time for the right amount of eps per series.

But, it would be good to know the detail before pre-ordering something, hopefully we will hear soon. Maybe if eveyone asks channel 5 on twitter we will get an answer sooner?

That's what I was thinking....having advertised it with 10 eps....they can't produce it with fewer - it's gotta be the full s1&2......

Suspects DVD info still has not changed.  I'm hoping since "S2" isn't airing till "Autumn", the DVD does not get pushed further out and still includes 10 eps (or more).

I really can't wait for that long, but I guess the "season 2" must air before they are going to put this on stores. Waiting... Waiting... Waiting... Waiting...

 

I wonder if there is any extras. I would love to see behind the scenes material and possibly some deleted scenes camera

The DVD info still hasn't changed - I'm a little surprised that they are still advertising it as s1, 10 eps when that obviously isn't accurate.

Hi all!

Agreed fifi, the upcoming Suspects DVD is clearly not going to be series 1 with 10 episodes, I would imagine it may be series 1 and 2, but we'll have to wait and see. 

Maybe the powers that be themselves do not know how they are going to play it yet, but it does seem a little off expecting people to pre-order an item which obviously cannot exist in the advertised form!

Jozie - hoping for lots of extras too! I would love to see how things work on the set!

Knightley - Yes as mentioned in first post, apparently vlc media player will play any region dvd, it's a free and reputable multimedia player, which you can download here

I pre-ordered this when it became available.  It still has the same Nov 17th release date, the same 10 eps... same 500 min run time.  If it were to stay that way, each episode is about 44-45 min run time, even with the "next time" previews, so that would be 445 min... allowing quite a lot of time for extras!

However, I'm sure that is just a standard estimate, and of course now everything has changed, so who knows.  I'm still crossing fingers for more than 5 episodes.  And lots of extras... one can dream, yes...

I really wouldn't make any sense to delay the release of this it until Novemeber if it was only going to be series one.  But I can't understand why it was ever advertised this way if they already knew that series 2 would be aired in the autumn.....

The artwork and info for the Suspects DVD is now available

and the release date moved forward to 1 September.

It looks as if it will only include series 1!

250 minutes definitely looks like just the 5 episodes shown as series 1.
No sign of any extra features.

The episodes are 46 minutes long according to the official site, so that leaves 20 mins spare.. hopefully for lots of extras!

The notification of an earlier release date was a welcome surprise but the price hasn't been adjusted. I'm hoping that's still something that will be.  

So been speculating. 250 minutes allows for 50 min per episode for 5 episodes. At most the episodes with "next time" previews and credits ran 46 minutes. That is 230 min. So, crossing fingers for 20 min of extras?

Hmm.. I haven't order my copy, yetwink (haven't order anything yet from Amazon, would be first time).

 But I was wondering why have they lowered the price?confuse

probably because it was quite pricey before Jozie, when series 1 originally had 10 episodes ? Also, the price may change again, Amazon advertises products very early for pre-order but the exact price may change.

It does look like there is plenty of room for extras on this dvd, 20 mins to spare in the total run rime, with just the 5 episodes! action

So this is interesting.... there is a listing on Amazon for Suspects Series 1 & 2 DVD for 29 September release...

is this just the old listing or will there be another dvd?

This can't be the old listing because it says S1&2, different release date, and it's 4 discs (I'm sure the original listing was only 2 discs?)....although it doesn't give a run time

So why would I buy s1 (2 discs) for £14.25 when, if I wait 4 weeks, I can get s1&2 (4 discs) for £17.75?
