fifi, I think he is trying to find the guilty always as quick as possible, partly because sometimes his personal feelings takes control (this was nasty case, he wanted to catch the guy(s)). But yeah, it may seems that he forgot that there is a victim..
Oh guys I really need to go, clock has something against me and time is flying! But this is totally worth of little less sleep time, it's always interesting what you think about these eps and read you comments. This was fun as always! Thank you all, and good night! :)

Martha does not believe he didn't know what was happening. He said he thought his brother was having an affair and they were all of age. Cuts to earlier clip of Jason at work and Jason in interview room, smiling.

Jack tells Martha and Charlie he has checked with Jason's management company, there is only one empty office block available that night.
One last thought: In last scene, what Martha says about giving the second look (change) to the people was amazing. I wonder did she came up with that or was it in the script. Anyway, it was beautifully said.
goodnight Jozie. thanks for coming, as always love your insights. have some sweet Jack dreams.

the true hideousness of the crime is fully realised in these scenes. So harrowing and hard to talk about. found it really difficult doing the scene breakdowns for this episode.
Martha's interview with max... powerful lines, even moreso because they were improvised. Fay Ripley, amazing.
"Let me tell you something, Anna was eight weeks pregnant, when she was stabbed. She has suffered a miscarriage, she is underage. the only things I have to say about these scenes is I have a better respect for Martha (& Fay) in these. She shows that good police work does sometimes require bending the rules (taking a page from Jack's book), she shows that there is an appropriate time to push on a suspect, she really let's it rip with her solo interview with Max. What she has, that Jack still needs to work on if he's going to eventually have her job, is a bit of perspective. She keeps the big picture in mind, as Kat would be happy about, she is mindful of procedure and what will be needed later to close the case. She's a good mentor for Jack.

It's interesting to me that she gives him this speech knowing that he is involved. It's an impassioned speech but if he's really involved in this I don't think he would find it moving. You'd have to be pretty sick and cold to be involved in something like this knowingly.

Martha's best bits were always in the interview room..and I agree that she's totally got it here! At this point it definately picks up the pace...despite Jack's earlier belief that Sean was somehow involved, you can tell that they know they've hit the trail.
