Oh Goodie, the "interviews" of the three detectives are on YouTube! All have great tidbits of Jack.
BTW, they are in HD 720dpi. I found I had to change the setting in the videos, YT doesn't automatically play the HD versions.

All three character intros are brilliant, containing golden nuggets regarding Jack's character... precious, considering the zero external character references format that Suspects has. And we get a little intrigue on Jack's backstory from both his and Marthas' intros.......
"My style of policing? Agressive. Emotional, probably somewhat too emotional at times, I always try and get the bad guy."
"I look after Charlie, although she probably doesn't need that much looking after."
"I've learned to communicate better, which I struggled with, probably before I joined.."
"I've learned to know how to get what you want, and that's very helpful, certainly when you're in a custody suite."
"I come from a long line of police officers back in Ireland, I've always been taught to always do the right thing."
Martha
"To be honest Jack thinks that he's got bigger balls than me, but he doesn't. But I kind of like that ok, I like his spirit, he's got a lot of instinct, Jack will jump in first.. problem is, when Jack makes a mistake, I have to clean up his mess."
[to Jack]" I know about your family history Jack, and I don't need that right now because we're here for another reason, if i may, with respect, remind you."
"To be honest Jack thinks that he's got bigger balls than me, but he doesn't.

These character profile videos are true gems! and....they contain new footage!! woohoo!!!
haha! you gotta love Martha! and Charlie! (oh and I suppose jack too )
Jozie that bit is funny, the Jack and Charlie banter adds a but of light relief to an otherwise pretty dark (but brilliant) show. It is a magnetic dynamic to watch.
I am LOVING these character intros. It seems like they've realised that the thing that series 1 lacked was some characters to engage with and now they've slipped in these to make up for that. Looks like the stories are going to give us a bit more insight into them too. And I'm very much looking forward to getting to know Jack a little better....
The trio – and each week's guest stars, often soap alumni – may work without the safety net of a script, but they do have backstories. "We did this amazing exercise two weeks before shooting," Molony says. "They just put the camera on us and asked, 'Why did you become a police officer?' Suddenly, there's half an hour of you talking on tape about your entire life." They also try to "instil little elements" of biography into scenes, he says: he might text an unseen girlfriend, and there are photos of kids on DI Bellamy's desk.
