Yeh I think the makeup was a testing day and they seem to be training or they were so I reckon they may have only just started filming....

More clues! We need more clues! Lol xx

There are a couple of tweets by Damien when he sent about 5.30 our time. I will leave it to someone else to post them as I know I'll only muck them up! One is of a night shoot and the other says "That's a wrap". Most intriguing!

yes most intriguing!  so quick to wrap since our first clue a couple weeks ago.  maybe they are just done filming at this location?

What fantastic tweets to wake up to! The video gives a real feel of the terrian.. breathtaking, immense. May have just tweeted that to DaMo too!

It does seem a shortish shoot for a film but we do not actually know when they began...

maybe they have been filming for far longer than Damien's first tweet....

These tweets have totally thrown me now.

They must have been filming a while before we knew anything about it and as suggested maybe the non actiony stuff was first and then they got mission x in to train them in the middle of filming.

Films don't take that long to film though do they? I remember thinking kill your friends was completed really quickly and that was like 6 weeks?

When did suspects wrap? He could have gone straight over there after.....

Hmmmm.  curiouser and curiouser!

It does sound quite final.....but I wonder whether thats's just for location filming?  Could mean they're moving to a studio?

Of course....I hate to say this......but it could also mean that Damien is not in the whole film.......

 

Whimsy - just noticed you had the same idea about it being a wrap for that location - that's gotta be it then, right? lol!

I got that idea that they have been filming that film earlier last year and now they added something new in there where Damien comes in the picture. But yes, fantastic tweets to wake up!

I've just realised how badly I've lost track of time! 

Su - they finished filming suspects at the beginning of July, didn't they?  So potentially he could have been working on this for 2 months!

Yeh Fifi so 2 months would have been plenty of time to complete the whole thing! Hmmm I wonder how long it'll take before things start coming out about it.

I remember with kill your friends it wasn't very long at all before they were having screenings to see where it would be distributed, maybe a month or so?

Hope this is the case with this one as then there will surely be some more news about it x

News and clues on Damien's new project so far!

 

 

 

DAMIEN TO APPEAR IN NEW MILITARY THEMED MOVIE – FILMING COMPLETED IN JORDAN TODAY

 



We have exciting news, Damien is going to be in another film!

We reported earlier this year that he had been cast in Kill Your Friends – completed in April and due for release in 2015. Now we are delighted not only to confirm his casting in another movie, but to learn today that it is already in the can!

As yet unnamed, Damien’s new project appears to be a feature film with a military / action theme and set in a desert terrain. He has been working in Jordan for the past few weeks and wrapped on filming today.

Having most recently appeared on UK TV as Detective Sergeant Jack Weston in Channel 5’s Suspects, Damien has been turning us fans into detectives over the past few weeks, leaving a breadcrumb trail of cryptic clues on his Twitter page as to what his mystery new project might be.

 

Clue #1 
Damien Tweeted his first hint that he was filming something new on 13 August

Soon followed by a clue about the shoot being in a hot location.

The next photo clue displayed Arabic writing on a shampoo bottle, narrowing the location down further.

Damien’s subsequent tweet revealed that he was training with National boxing champion of Jordan Arifa Bseiso – suggesting not only that he was filming in Jordan but that his new role requires a high level of fitness.

Today Damien announced he has wrapped on filming, posting a tantalizing glimpse of the terrain in a Vine video.

He also shared a behind the scenes photo of a nightshoot.

Further clues have also appeared from the world’s premiere tactical, adventure and consultancy team, Jordan based MissionX, who also offer specialist military training and advice to the film and TV actors / directors.

Last month MissionX revealed on their Twitter page:

It has not been officially announced, but there are strong indications that Damien is one of the actors who has been working on the same film.

From the MissionX website:
“Mission X eliminates the guess-work in creating realistic film production settings and segments.Accurate and creative technical advice ensures that feature films, television series and documentaries capture all the necessary details. Previous consulting projects include Hollywood feature films and documentaries filmed in the world’s most extreme environments.”

“[We offer]Technical advice, role development and scripting for movies and documentaries featuring police, SWAT, military and Special Operations Forces. Total immersion training for director and actors who seek military authenticity and historical accuracy.”

MissionX have worked on a number of high profile action / drama films, including soon to be released Rosewater and Monsters Dark Continent. The films’ trailers perhaps give us a sneak peek into the terrain and kind of movie Damien may be involved in.

 


 

We are thrilled that Damien will be appearing in another feature film and eagerly await more clues about the movie and his role. Watch this space for news as it happens!

I was thinking very same. I believe they wrapped at night time, he went to sleep and in the morning when he posted that vine he also wanted to post his last shooting pic too.

I got some dark thoughts in my head about night shooting. Nothing good happens in war films at night time. Interesting thought: What if Damien's character dies in this film?

the phrase "that's a wrap" usually has a pretty universal meaning, but the follow up photo clue of the night shoot ....

You know what we need? we need another cluuuuueeeeee!

Damien is back in the UK now So it seems that was an actual wrap or at least for the Jordan part of filming!

I'm kinda assuming that, whatever this is, it's finished now!  And I can't help thinking that it could be months before we hear anything else.  I agee, domino - we still need clues....but I'm not holding my breath...

Oh my god! I hadn't even thought about that!  Damien in a film trailer!!!  

I'd love to see another topic in films, domino....but this hasn't even got a title yet.  Are you going to post it as 'new project'?  Argh! I wish we knew more about it.

Let's face it, all film trailers should have a DaMo - probably the best advertising any film could ever get! action
So, I am expecting to see his actorly moosh in both trailers for both these projects. Or else! And the distributors would be foolish not to.

I also want to know more, but it is very very exciting wondering what this might be!

I'm really excited for this! I had no ideas what it could of been. But another movie is fabulous!! I don't know about anyone else but since being human hasn't his career just gone BOOM and he's doing so much! I feel like a proud wee mum :') haha.

Agree.  Cool to see him being announced in one thing after another (or I should say finding clues that he's in one thing after another) #proudfan  His IMDB page is looking pretty respectable compared to when I first saw it. biggrin  His profile photo on there should be updated. (not to mention more photos put up and his Kill Your Friends role actually filled in!)

Oh yes, trailers please!  And can't wait for that exciting day I go to the theatre to watch him on the big screen with a huge crowd of people!

We knew it would happen over 2 years ago when Damien's talent first hit the small screen... but it is brilliant seeing the film roles coming in for him! It has been a pretty steep career trajectory, and well deserved! Part of me is fist punching the air, the other is tapping fingers on the table... waiting for the world to catch up with the screamingly obvious fact of his extraordinary talent for ages and ages!

Not wishing to take it off topic because we have an IMDb topic here, but I've added as much detail as I can to Damien's page, his filmog, bio, quotes, theatre works, etc... but only his PR peeps can add photos.
