Charlie did actually bite back in this argument though, good for her. Jack had been pushing her buttons throughout the whole case, and she had done well to not react.

As much as I love these chats, it's good it's almost over.  I feel quite wrung out!  Very tense and emotional episode!

yeah - by assuring Nate that he didn't think he was guilty he may have been more likely to open up....but they appear to have not even bothered to attempt to get any more info from him.

Agree domino - I wonder if Martha heard Jack..or whether she just picked up the vibe...

I hope that Jack can appreciate that it's affecting him.... Again, I see this as him trying to reassure himself as much as Martha...

I do think Jack is in a bit of denial over this affecting his professionalism and relationship with the team.  Or in a state where he feels he's dug himself in a hole that he can't get out of, his emotions spiraling out of control and is just hoping further evidence vindicates him?

whimsy, I know what you mean! we've been chatting nearly 3 hours too!

Jack was affected and unable to be objective from the get go as soon as Saul appeared I think.

He certainly appreciates that he was out of order the way he spoke to Charlie...or he wouldn't have tried to pretend that everything was OK when Martha came over to them.

Agree with you all Jane, whimsy and fifi --- denial and reassuring himself.

so,, the final scene of this episode --- Martha thought they already had their man with Nate.. but Jack suggests it is Saul, after all......

smug is too strong a word... but there was something in jack's face about being right in the end (or thinking he was) after he'd told martha earlier on that they shouldn't send Saul home....
