Now we really begin to see how strongly Jack feels bout Saul being the culprit. He is fuming inside when Martha says he has to be bailed. But he speculation seems to be less coherent than his usual detectiving - as a viewer do we feel concern, irritation, or what for jack? we don't know yet what his reasons are for becoming so over focussed on Saul....
Tanya certainly seemed guilty for a bit there. She drove off, I got the impression the first time it seemed like she was running away, did I mishear that she'd missed picking up her daughter at school. But on consequent viewing, I felt she was sincere in just wanting to get away for a bit. Just driving around to think.

I think Jack is being very unfair in all his communications with Charlie. He's really being a dick at times.

That was pretty stupid on her part to run off and also to not come clean about her past before they found out another way. Surely she knew they would find out.

Rosie, I didn't sense concern for Saul at this point, when he dropped him off at the hostel. I didn't think he'd given up on Saul as a suspect. When he told Sadie to make sure he took his meds I thought it was more of a "keep an eye on him" comment.

Rosie, when Jack dropped Saul off at the hostel was the first time i felt that Jack cared and that there was much more to his personal experience than it must be him and he must just get the bad guy
I like how many options they give us to think who did it. So many suspects (wonder if that's how this show got its name?) and still so much normal human behavior that seems suspicious
I had problems with Tanya because I didn't think Charlie Brooks was very comfortable with it - so everything she did seemed false and I found the scenes with her and Fay a bit....wooly!
Jack was being a dick and I don't quite understand if Martha knew his past why he couldn't tell Charlie as well. They are fairly close and it isn't like it wasn't relevant.

I think Martha did the right thing not to tell Charlie at first, she's right about staff confidentiality. And maybe she thought at that point that she could bring it under control. she was also protecting jack and his professionalism with his 'pupil'

Martha would have to know about his past as his superior - it would all be in his employee records and they probably had to have a discussion about it when he first joined her team. But I can understand he wouldn't feel comfortable discussing it with Charlie or anyone else. It's something he probably wants to bury away. However, he doesn't have to be such a dick about it! But that's Jack, very emotional.

It isn't really any of Charlie's business and she shouldn't have asked Martha but Jack shouldn't be such a dick and just tell Charlie what is going on with him.
