papillon... pamplemousse... bibliothèque... un baiser A lilt in his voice. Every sentence like music... #kisskisskiss A terrible beauty is born. Love me some #Jacksass
Also, do love the new 'staff room' set and the convos Charlie and Jack have in there. Even when they are supposedly taking a break they are not really taking a break from the case!
The amount of digging and sifting through piles of information is well-represented, I think, without taking over the plot. And I like how each new thing connects with what they know and lets them push forward.

He'd have told me to join him, and I would. - still true!
fifi, at this point i still felt on first viewing it is left ambiguous whether jack is still fixated on Saul or not. there are points in this episode where i felt convinced he was letting it go, then something would happen that showed he had not! But i guess that is why we become detectives.. maybe you are better at clue deciphering than me!
Jack is on the roof top talking on the phone to his Mum when Charlie arrives to invite him to join her and Martha, as she's found some info.
Scene 45 ( 30.14 - 30.51 )
Charlie has added a lot more to the crime board and talks Martha and Jack through her findings, which confirm Nate is robbing items and Daley is fencing them. But also that a lot of victims are reporting a third person present, a woman who fits the description of Sadie Burns.
(slow-mo glimpse of Sadie leaving her front door)
Scene 46 ( 30.52 - 32.00 )
Jack interviews Saul, beginning with an apology if he has ever upset Saul and asking him all about Sadie. Saul tells him he thinks Sadie is a "bit dark".
JW: Saul I want to apologise to you if I made you feel uncomfortable. I know this is a traumatic ordeal for you, for everyone at the hostel, and I'm sorry if I've upset you or...
SH: It's fine. It's fine. I just want to get out of here.
JW: Hm. Saul I'm trying to piece together elements of Sadie's life. Talk to me about her. You obviously know each other from living in the hostel. Does she have other friends that come and visit? talk to me about her lifestyle.
SH: I don't know her friends. I don't talk to people. She talks to me. Can I tell you something?
JW: Yeah.
SH: Can I tell you something? You won't tell her? I think...I think she's a bit dark. She's a bit dark.
JW: Dark how?
SH: I can't put my finger on it. But I wouldn't want to piss her off, do you know what I mean?
Scene 47 ( 32.01 - 32.27 )
Jack talks to Martha and Charlie in Martha's office. He tells them that FME (Forensic Medical Examiner) report the bruising on Sadie's face looks more like a door hit her in the face. Martha questions why would she lie about it, but it gives them permission to search the hostel.
Scene 48 ( 32.28 - 32.58 )
Jack and Charlie go to search the hostel. Jack crowbars the lock on the door to Sadie's room. During the search Charlie finds a carrier bag with blood and hair in it.
JW: Shit, that's where Sadie stashed the murder weapon.
Scene 49 ( 32.59 - 33.18 )
In the main office Jack reports to Martha and Charlie that forensics found Sadie's fingerprints all over the bag, and the blood and hair belong to Jonathan Moxton. Also, the DNA found in Jonathan's bathroom matches Sadie's.
Scene 50 ( 33.19 - 33.50 )
Jack and Martha interview Nate Turner, both very firm that he needs to tell them where Sadie is before she attacks someone else. He claims he does not know where she is.
Scene 51 ( 33.51 - 34.09 )
Martha gives a press conference urgently appealing for info on Sadie's whereabouts and warning that she is highly dangerous.
Scene 52 ( 34.10 - 34.31 )
Jack and Martha interview Saul. Jack informs him that it was Sadie who attacked Jonathan and killed the man on the common, that she's been taking advantage of him and he didn't kill anyone and hasn't done anything wrong.
Scene 53 ( 34.32 - 35.12 )
Jack is at the front desk while Saul collects his belongings before being released. Saul shakes his hand, then hugs him.
Sorry. I don't have much to add today. I'm feeling a bit green around the gills today and following along on my laptop while prone on the couch. It isn't really conducive to deep input.

My take is that all the way through this ep Jack is aware of his lack of objectivity about Saul....and that from the time he finds Saul at the 2nd murder scene right up until the photo-fit he is re-evalutating his judgement. I think that is the point where he realises he may have been wrong....
