As we all know, there are more episodes of Suspects yet to see. Originally, there were 10 episodes filmed, but Series 1 comprised only 5 episodes, leaving 4 remaining. More new episodes were filmed over summer 2014, but only 4 more new episodes were aired in August, in Series 2.
I have received many comments from fans of the show, both on the Damien Molony Forum and the Suspects TV Show pages, asking what has happened to these episodes and asking why they have not been aired yet.
I do not know the answers to those questions, but.... how exciting that there is still LOTS more Suspects goodness to come!
Series 3 has been announced for 2015 and we have been given some epic clues as to what is in store.
So, in true detective style, here is little look at the glimpses we have been given for unseen episodes so far....
Who are the future 'suspects' in Suspects?!
During S2 filming. there were lots of clues about guest actors appearing as suspects in upcoming episodes, as yet unseen.
Including: Jody Latham (Shameless, Eastenders), Chris Coghill (Eastenders, Shameless), Lucy Gaskell (Casualty, Misfits, Being Human) and Emmett Scanlan (Hollyoaks, The Fall, In The Flesh).
At the end of Series 2 episode 4 (the last ep of the series), there was a 'coming soon' preview, featuring all the following 'suspects' (including one who looks very like Jason Statham!)
What are the future Suspects storylines?
First up, the original official synopsis for Suspects mentioned a storyline about "the disappearance of a solider with post traumatic stress disorder". So that is one story / case/ investigation we are yet to see.
Secondly, There have been a number of clips, previews, trailers, with glimpses of future storylines.
Including:
At the end of series 1 episode 6 (the last ep of the series), there is a next time preview of an as yet unseen storyline
The Series 2 trailer had glimpses of Emmett Scanlan in an as yet unseen storyline

"So much blood"
The Jack Weston, Martha Bellamy and Charlie Steele introduction videos all have fab glimpses of as yet unseen episodes and moments - here are the videos with screen caps of future cases for the detectives.
Apologies for low Q - hard to capture moments of movement!

(1.23 - 1.41)
(1.46 - 1.48)
Wow, what a lot of exciting clues! They certainly "want to keep [us] wanting more" !!
This is great, domino! It is frustrating knowing that there are episodes which are just waiting to be aired - but, on the other hand, it's exciting to know that we've still got them to come! And it's intreguing to wonder which of those clips belong to the same episodes.
But only 5 of the original 10 have been aired, haven't they? (you said 6?!) So there are still 5 of those to come, plus what-ever is left from the summer's filming (ooo...wonder if that was another 2-parter, then?!) So in 2015 we're virtually guaranteed at least 6 hours of DaMo on tv!!
Glad you like fifi, thanks for pointing out the typo, now corrected, yes series 1 had 5 episodes.
Yes some of the above could be from the same storylines, please feel free to run with it and try and work out which!
Look at all those suspects played by guest actors! Sad to say I cannot name them all, anyone else?
As well as the new cases and investigations, it is good to see the fun team moments will be back too, loving JW's smile ( and shirt) in this clip
But in the karaoke one, Jack doesn't seem too happy... Just anti karaoke? or could this be Jack still feeling sore after his enforced holiday to the naughty corner?
I really would like to see all the episodes and it's a bit shame that we don't have any info when/or will we see them..
It seems that they are so busy creating new episodes and storylines and I fear that they have no intentions to air these. But it's just a fear and you are right, we should concentrate on the positive side and believe we will see these unseen hidden gems!
There are just few things I wonder about how they will actually do that. Considering what happened in last episode of S2:
Spoiler
In the last episode of Suspects S2 Jack had to take forced holiday because his mistakes and almost lost his job.
And the fact their style has been changing tiny bit too (well it shouldn't be big problem but it's quite odd if they look very different in the next episode than the last one).
So, will the older episodes be in line with this storylines? Are they able to slip them between seasons? Or are they going to put them on the next DVD as extras?
Can't wait that series 3 and see what it brings, and I hope there will be season 4 and more Suspects!

Glad you enjoyed Jozie! they are all good questions and unfortunately I don't have any answers! But the point of this topic is trying to steer us towards the actual glimpses we have seen, which I find exciting!
I wonder what Emmett Scanlan's episode will be about? The glimpses of his character all put together are very intriguing...and I am particularly exciting about seeing Damien and him together in Suspects!
Well, we just have to hope those episodes will pop out someday!
domino, whatever the plot is, I somehow hope that he will be one of the victims and not main suspects or the bad guy. That situation would be interesting to watch. Emmett played villain in Hollyoaks, so I would like to see him as a victim.
Still, I'm looking forward to see those two amazing gentlemen together, it must worth to wait!
Agree with you, Emmett has played a well known villain so seeing him portray a victim would be refreshing.
The 'coming soon' segment at the end of series 2 seems to point that way...
But the trailer clip leaves me wondering.. it shows him in the grey trackkies worn by Suspects, and the line is quite menacing...but I guess he could be wrongly accused....
This topic is full of all sorts of awesome! Domino, I'd noticed that cute Jack smile when they showed the previews. So far with Damien's characters, we've gotten so few smiles, have to celebrate each one! And they are so contagious.
As fifi said we have DaMo TV time to look forward to , but it is so frustrating what Channel 5's been doing with Suspects, first cutting the original 10 down to 5 - I remember the panic of thinking they were cancelling the show - then only showing only 4 new ones. I've never heard of a program being aired this way, piecemeal. And seeing that sales slate article state that S2 is 6 episodes... JUST. SO. FRUSTRATING! The only saving grace is that they HAVE aired the coming soon previews. It gives us something to hold on to. If there is any justice, Suspects will be on EARLY 2015. But then again, there's that whole conspiracy against us Damien fans...
I've never seen Hollyoaks, had not heard of Emmett Scanlan until he did In the Flesh (which no, I will still not watch because I hate zombies), but I have since seen him in The Fall (which is a small part & he mumbles - hah) and in Guardians of the Galaxy (which I got way too excited about recognizing him)... but I have become a fan of his, follow him on the Twitter, and am MASSIVELY looking forward to the episode with Damien and Emmett together. Those two Irish accents together - I'm fairly certain the Twitter will have a major fan meltdown that night!
As for speculation on how the episodes will all slot together - we could see in S1 that basically each episode stood alone. The little nuggets of character backstory did build up, and certainly in S2 it was WAY more in the foreground/important, but since the show does concentrate on the Suspects, I don't think it will be too disjointed feeling when they air the original episodes. I am ASSUMING they planned for this when they developed the stories film in June. Jack is on enforced leave, perhaps they will start S3 (or the rest of S2 or whatever the hell they decide to call it) with one of the newer episodes. Precedent dictates that they will be flung straight into a case within the first few minutes, but perhaps somewhere along the line Martha will bring Jack in her office to ask if he's straightened out his shit or something. Or Charlie will make an offhand comment. Or Jack might even - gasp - apologize to Charlie for being such a dick... well maybe that seems too far fetched.

Yeah that is almost my take on it whimsy, there will be some continuity to the Jack story... the karaoke clip may be related to that, a post enforced holiday sulk...? but once things are back on track the unaired eps from series 1 could slot in anywhere as each episode is a self contained storyline, each covering just one case. But now that little bit of Jack ness has been introduced, it would be odd to eliminate all of that, or maybe there will be another case that jack becomes persoanlly involved in!!
The last 'Suspect' in the grey jumper looks like the policeman from The Fall, but I can't quite be sure. It made me happy, any way. I'd love to see Damien in The Fall. Also -- Jamie Dornan, fantastically creepy serial killer.

Hi Zan, do you mean Emmett Scanlan? Yes he played DC Glen Martin in 'The Fall'.
Well, we just have to hope those episodes will pop out someday!

Hmm - gotta say that the pic of Emmett in an interview room in the grey tracksuit kinda says to me that he's a suspect.....tho, as domino said - that doesn't necessarily mean he's guilty.
domino, I believe zan means this guy. He looks like another detective in The Fall, the one that DI Stella Gibson has a one-night stand with. I agree, but don't know if it's the same actor. I looked up The Fall on IMDB, but could not find his photo.

isn't it! We will have Damo on the TV in Suspects and the stage in 'The Hard Problem' early 2015, with 'Kill Your Friends' film shortly following on the big screen!
just have to endure a Damo void the next few months. *sigh*

Oh my! This is exciting news! I have been waiting for new series to start and I just love when they little by little to bring up the Suspects among us again!
Where did you find these pics domino? Both pics are actually from the LEB building too! First one is from the backyard!
Could be new series, at least trash cans haven't moved!
Actually domino I did not zoom in. I'm not usually one to shy away from spoilers, it just didn't zoom in when I clicked on it!
