Brilliant news (about time, too). I haven't seen the trailer (only occasionally watch 5) but will make a point of channel hopping in the hope I see it. Will set a reminder so I don't miss it!
Heh, I like the new countdown. Just enough time to rewatch all the previous seasons - I didn't realise they were all up on Demand 5. Is that permanent? I don't usually use it.
But yay! seconded. I only started watching Suspects when I saw Damien was in it, (I'm not usually big on crime dramas), but I've really gotten into it. The improv format makes it more interesting to watch, especially now I'm taking evening classes in scriptwriting. It's been great to see the characters develop, knowing the actors have a bit more free rein.

Aradia, Damo has been in Suspects since it's inception. Currently only series 3 is on Demand 5, unless they re-added the first couple series in anticipation of rewatches next couple weeks.
Woohoo soon!

I don't know if this is just me being cynical....or something - but the thought has just occured to me. Is it possible that channel 5 were waiting for kyf to be released.....?

But that wouldn't explain all the weirdness about the trailer being shown in the summer. Surely the date of release for KYF would have been known by then and I'm not sure if Damien's role is significant enough to tie in for publicity purposes. Whatever the reason, it's back very soon! Yay! Can't wait for that Jacksass
Glad you like the countdown Aradia! me too (only 15 days to go, yay!)
Series 3 will be on Demand 5 until next January, but you can also watch online via Amazon and Google Play - click here for the info.
(Those are the legal ways to watch online and we obvs can't recommend others like YT links on the forum )
No clue as to why the delay for Suspects, just very glad it is coming! but from what I am seeing so far for series 4 it looks as if it is going ahead as originally planned, the first episode is the one already filmed and seen in the trailer.
Suspects Series 4 will comprise 4 episodes, according to the Radio Times. The prog info correlates with the details on IMDb that have been up for some time. So it is looking like the series is as originally planned, with the 4 already filmed eps.
In addtion to last post, schedules confirm the first 3 episodes are indeed 25 November, 2 December, 9 December. (Therefore safe to assume episode 4 is is 16 December).
So yes, it is looking like a 4 week series across 4 weeks - a departure from the S2 and 3 format.
6 days now BuffieGroupie! which is a mere smidgen of time when you think about how we have been waiting for 10 months until
The previews look great don't they Rosie! Particularly loving the TV Times 5 stars and write up. They so get it!
"The stripped back semi improvisational style that makes this police procedural drama so refreshing is, thankfully, intact"
All the answers are revealed in a typically skilful understated way that will leave you quietly gripped until the credits roll"
Because Suspects is so high octane and engagingly gripping it is easy to overlook just how subtle and understated it is in terms of the unfolding story. Nicely said TV Times.
It also looks like the episodes are getting titles this series: ep 1 'AWOL', Ep 2 'Revenge', Ep 3 'Ricochet'.
I have come across these early synopses (synopsis's?) for episodes 2 & 3:
Episode 4.02 (title 'Revenge' (?))
Martha, Jack and Charlie reopen an eight-year-old investigation into a fatal stabbing after a recently released criminal involved in the original attack is left for dead in a copycat crime. Was it a revenge killing by the first victim's family?
Episode 4.03 (title 'Ricochet' (?))
The team are shocked by the shooting in broad daylight of a popular clergyman outside the boxing club that he runs for disaffected youths. Martha suspects that the vicar's hug-a-hoodie approach has backfired - but the investigation soon moves into far darker territory...

Absolutely agree. That is one of the things I love about this show, how understated it is. No rehearsed monologues, no impossible leaps of deduction or outrageous non-existent technology. The emotions and reactions are very real and raw and the twists and turns in their investigations are organic. I have yet to predict the ending of an episode. And many have left me stunned.
5 days till with all that emotional intelligence and #Jacksass
And his sassy sidekick Charlie. (I really do love that dynamic duo)
Curious to see what happens in the overall series arc, if newly filmed episodes/scenes will be swapped in, and if the theory that Fay could be absent from Series 5 pans out. Lack of tweets during filming and lack of new promo pics is quite suspicious. I could see that if she isn't back for Series 5 they may have filmed a scene or two to end the last episode of Series 4 differently and set up for a new situation for Series 5.

I've been trying to fathom that very thing whimsy, we have synopses for eps 1,2 and 3 now as per my last post.. so can we work it out if these are new or already filmed eps?
I particularly love the TV Times comment - "...quietly gripped..." is spot on! Interesting thoughts about ep4 and the lead into s5. Look forward to finding out!!
"Damien Molony and Fay Ripley are among the actors who devise much of their own dialogue, making it feel more like an episode of 24 Hours in Police Custody than a drama. Maybe True Detective could take a leaf out of Channel 5's book? You heard it here first."
