Molonians, we have our first images of Damien as Danny in Clean Break, via RTÉ and the Irish Times!

There is also confirmation of an airdate before Christmas and spec about a second series.

RTE One are launching their new season today, so fingers crossed for more images, news and a trailer!

Clean Break is a new four-part drama set in Wexford town which is due to air on Sunday nights in the autumn. Written by the acclaimed writer Billy Roche (The Eclipse) and produced by Octagon Films, the makers of Love/Hate, Clean Break is a universal tale of community, love and greed. The drama is set around Frank, a car dealer running out of fiscal rope, who catapults himself into serious trouble with the botched tiger kidnapping the local bank manager’s family, the repercussions of which will rock his hometown and all the people around him.

He looks oddly naked with that much hair and no beard. I don't think we've seen that combination much. I like it! Got a little thug thing going, with the baggy trousers and hooded jacket. The more I see the more curious I get!

I agreeTJ. Danny Quinn doesn't look like much of a sophisticate! 

I can't figure out if it's the clothes or the lack of beardage....but doesn't he look young!

Danny looks deliciously difficult to read from these first photos. Sounds like a goodly bit of intrigue and angst for us to get stuck into is coming in 'Clean Break'. Another irish accent role too. YAY!

that combo of lots of mussed hair and clean cut, with the relaxed "teen" look of hoodie and sweats, definitely makes him look like a young'un.  I'm very much liking the change in look and intrigued about his character.  Is he a decent guy caught up in something that goes out of control?  Is he a thug?  Lots of teasing in these photos and that trailer.

When I looked at the picture I noticed Aidan McCardle who used to be in Mr Selfridge. He does play a variety of parts from really lovely (Marple) to absolutely horrible (Mr Selfridge).

I wonder if we will be able to see this production - I do hope so.

Wonder if there is any significance to the photo being set right on a railway line, or if that's just atmospherics?

Interesting that all the photos they've released are only of the same 4 characters. Or have they released more photos witout Damien?

At least it sounds/looks like he's a principle character.

My first thought was that it's interesting that this is another version of the same pic - the same 4 people....which suggests that they are the principle characters......

My next thought was that they all look so serious in all the pics that we've seen so far....it doesn't look as though there will be many laughs......

Seems I've got nothing original to say!!

Good point everyone, this latest pic does seem to confirm these are the principle characters in the drama.

And given that Damien's is the only 'Clean Break' interview so far, everything is pointing towards Danny being front and centre. YAY!

Whimsy, the only other photos I have seen are of the Wexford setting - amazingly atmospheric and deliciously moody pics -  like the ones in Damien's interview and this Yahoo article.

Ooh! I hadn't considered the implications of Damien's Clean Break interview.  Not that I'd realised that there weren't any others....  Interesting!
