Reviews are looking good, hopefully Damien saw the first episode too! At least he can read reviews today how well the show did! (I bet they will send him the episode or something...)
It was definitely there fifi, I remember it well, by the expression on Danny's face!
I remember the scene....just not the shot from that angle. Dammit! I'll just have to watch it again now.....
that pic is a closeup of the scene we see from above.

Love that podcast! The reviews all seem to be quite favourable....which is good. But I am surprised that there has been so little mention of Damien - especially considering how central he is.
The only negative comments I've seen (on twitter) - apart from the inaccuracy of the Wexford accent, which I wouldn't know, and there were also comments that it was nice to hear the Wexford accent - were that it was a bit slow. That surprises me too, because although there wasn't much 'action' in the early parts, so much was happening, there was so much detail.... we learned so much about these characters. I agree with the guy on the podcast that it was beautifully filmed, but i that it felt almost suffocating.....brooding and, for me, the slower pace almost created an air of suspense.

That surprises me too fifi, I didn't find it at all slow, usually I zone out if somethign is not pacey enough and with Cleam Break I was gripped! Oooh'brooding' and 'suffocating' are very good words - perfect descriptors for the drama. Wish I'd thought of them for my review! I see that as a positive it adds to the intensity and tone.... a slowly creeping disturbing growing darkness.
I have written a review. I really tried to do Clean Break and Damien's performance in it justice, but still haven't quite nailed it. It has not been proofread so may just make sense in my own little brain and it is too long and unweildy - congratulations and thank you if you make it all the way through!
