Another suspense filled instalment! Not as intense as the first, but deeper into the world of Wexford, lots of threads weaving a fine complex story. I was gripped all the way through once more.

Stunning cinematography again. Truly spectacular!

Standout performances, Damien (obvs) Adam Fergus and Amybeth McNulty.
The children of Wexford totally love Danny don't they? the situation with young Jenny is rumbling away... We're still left with the same question at the end of the episode about Danny... how is this situation going to resolve? OOOh the tension!!

Is anyone else finding Desmond 'Dessie' increasingly cold and creepy? what is going on there! It's almost chilling,,

This was an interesting and ambiguous quote about Danny from boxing club manager Ben:
"Danny is like the sun, he comes and goes and does nothing in between"...

Episode 2 was great! Didn't feel an easing in the tension at all, just build up from last week. Definitely making for a good short series, not something that could be sustained in something longer.

Yes domino, Dessie is super creepy. No concern for his family whatsoever. He doesn't even have a picture of Jenny in his office.

The kids love Danny, and it seems justified. The boys are the ones he's trained at the boxing club, they probably idolize him. Jenny probably had a crush on him to begin with and now probably heightened.

Amybeth McNulty really is doing a fantastic job. Obvs Damien as well, but I'm really becoming a fan of Adam Fergus. He's doing the conflicted-in-over-my-head-how-the-fuck-am-I-going-to-get-out-of-this-and-keep-everyone-safe very well!

Won't say more here as don't want to get into spoiler material.

Hahaha! Love that description of Frank it's perfect whimsy! Agree, Frank was competing with Danny on the angsty / conflicted from this week.

This episode was equally tense, for me a tad less adrenalising and heartpounding (less screaming and scariness) but no less dramatic or grippng - equally suspenseful, and the creeping darkness spreading over the town is growing.. it#s quite a visceral feeling behind everything.

Must say again how visually beautiful Clean Break is.. not in the pretty scenic way, but just superb photography and tone.

I thought this episode was excellent (and voted accordingly). Everyone seems entangled in it in some way and the tension was palpable. Fantastic drama. __________________
