1. I gave it 4 stars overall. I didn't give it 5 because I think each episode was too short and the ad break made it even more disjointed. Longer episodes would have given us a chance to get to know the characters better.

2. Fun, funny and flirty

3. Episode 2 made me laugh out loud the most

4. Just one? Maybe Will putting all the negativity in Anthony's currycane. Or Anthony having to sit in the property guardian office with no shirt on.

5. I'll have to come back to this one.

6. Anthony is hot but needs to grow up a bit!

7. If you had asked me at the start of the series I would have said Kate korma. I felt that Lulu needed to leave Anthony and Kate alone. But once Kate confessed to not being as in love with Anthony as we thought I felt that she and Anthony would be better apart. When Lulu and Anthony got together it just seemed so right. They have all those years of friendship as a base for a relationship but as neither of them are very mature I'm not sure how long they would stay together.

8.  10. It was great seeing him play a different type of character to other things he's been in before. He's a fantastic comic actor and this character gave him the opportunity to demonstrate his incredible range of facial expressions. On a shallow note, I totally enjoyed that the topless clause in Damien's contract was enforced!

9. I like how the series ended. It was left deliberately ambiguous. The ending was full of a lot of beginnings for the characters. If I could re-write the end I would want the characters to be a lot more honest but then it wouldn't have been left on such a cliffhanger.

10. As for series 2, I guess I'd like to see how everyone is getting on but I'm not sure how there could be the same tensions with the same set of characters.

1: I gave it 4

2:funny, dirty, Damien

3: the last episode was my favourite... mostly because of the cliff hanger at the end.. and lulu an Anthony got together

4: my favourite part is were lulu, will, sam and Anthony have a fight

5: a: kate- "oh and I'm not fucking stupid"
b: colin- "shes my melody"
c: Anthony- "kates a lesbian"

6: (Anthony is) an amazing flirty man who deserves lulu more than kate any day

7: vindalulu all the way.... it has a better ring to it

8: 10... I thought he played the character very well and managed to pull a funny but serious act at the same time... I wish to see more in the future

9:i loved the series ending... very well written and I wouldn't change it for the world

10: I would love to see a new series I think that would be amazing... we need more fred and sam.... and of course kates cliff hanger at the end

1. I gave it a 4. The first episode seemed to pack too much in and I didn't enjoy the one where Sam was on the phone to the Samaritans, found him annoying.

2. Innovative, amusing, Damien.

3. The last one because every character had something important and potentially life-changing happening to them.

4. Favourite scene was in the second episode, the scattering of the ashes. I know it sounds weird, but I really liked it because it stayed serious and didn't have the wind veering in the wrong direction at the prime moment or something similar. One thing I have really appreciated in this series is the balancing of funny and serious and not wringing a laugh out of every scene. Then there was Lulu, the onesie, a cool and collected half-naked Anthony. Not to forget Melody spanking an unconscious Colin -"bad Colin". So many, really.

5. "She's my Melody."
"It's Lulu, my Lulu."
"We don't give a fork - we have to say that"
I hope I've got them all right.

6. Anthony is maddening but gorgeous.

7. Vindalulu - even though I'm not keen on curry at all!

8. 10 - I thought he played a basically unsympathetic character with élan and sympathy. I was really wanting him just to be honest with himself even if he was never honest with anyone else.

9. Thought the ending was perfect, left it beautifully open for a second, equally complicated series. Apart from anything else, would Kate be a property guardian again and if not would Anthony go with her? Her words at the end could have alluded to anything.

10. A series 2 is (hopefully) a must! I would like to see longer episodes, so it could advance at a steadier pace, and a longer series - it needs 10 per series! I would also like to see other properties being looked after - I could imagine Lulu and Sam having huge fun with a fireman's pole, for instance; living in a school could bring out the headmistress in Kate. Then again, perhaps a dilapidated hotel or B&B for Anthony?

1. I gave 4 stars, I really liked it. The whole cast was new, fresh and they did good job. The script was great. Only thing I didn't like was that the episodes were too short and packed full of stuff, the whole show was moving fast and sometimes the serious stuff filled too much of the short episode. Somehow, it wasn't timed so well. But anyway, this is a very good start! (hoping to see season 2).

2. Entertaining, dirty, funny.

3. Ep 3. Laughed so much.

4. Ooooh this is hard one. I have to agree with Rosie, Will putting all negativity to Anthony's currycane was my fav moment! It was a very good, classic comedy moment and I almost fell out of my chair and it still makes me laugh. (I was first thinking the scene where Sam opened Fred's computer and saw Will's face as screensaver, it was short but good too, so that's why negative curry scene wins). There where many good moments but that one joke was just perfect.

5. My top 3 is:

Fred: "I wanna drink myself straight"

Lulu: Have you got any condoms?.... You got more?"

Anthony: "Do think of me anytime you have a funny gallop?"

6. Anthony is sexy and witty

7. Vindalulu, Kate is unsure about her feelings, Lulu just tries to hide them. It's destiny!

8. 10! This is new, we've seen Damien having comedy moments in different shows (like when he was Hal) but now he was all about it and I think he was way more scarier than ever when he was mad in this show. It's like seeing new side of him and his acting talents, I want more.

9. I think it was clever way to end it. Lulu got who she had always loved and Anthony saw that the right person have always been there. Kate might find happiness somewhere else, Sam and Fred got each other, Melody and Colin.. AAAW! I wouldn't change a anything except I would have wanted to see Will find love after Fred and not leaving like he did.

10. Oh yes! I would like to see Will again and Kate finding new love (and possibly making Anthony bit jealous). It would be awkward when there would be Lulu and Anthony dating while Kate is going on blind dates or something. I would like to see when Melody and Colin takes their relationship to the next level and that Sam would become more like Will, perhaps maybe too much to please Fred. And I would just enjoy seeing Damienaww

1. How many stars would you give Crashing Series 1 as a whole (vote in the poll above) and why?

Three stars for me. Full of promise and some proper laugh out loud moments but most episodes felt rushed and both the comedy and drama needed more time to breath. There a a heck of a lot better sitcoms but for a series finding its feet I think it did a pretty good job.

2. Give 3 words to describe Crashing

Filthy, sexy, fun

3. Fave episode of the whole series?

The three curries episode was wonderful

4. Fave scene of the whole series?

Oh blimey, only watched each episode once. Will go with the everyone at the table for the curry night. Shout out too for Melody threatening to shit on Sam's face. Lolz

5. Top 3 quotes of the series? (any character)

Can't claim I know it well enough to think of any quotes off the top of my head!

6. Complete this sentence (in any way you like):

Anthony is....... a bit selfish and weak but a good guy at heart.

7. vindalulu or katekorma - where do you stand?

Vindalulu

8. On a scale of 1 - 10 How much did you enjoy seeing Damien play Anthony and why? (1 being I really didn't like seeing him play this character, 10 being I loved seeing him play this character

7 - It's nice to see him in a lighter role for sure. Anthony is not near any of the best character's tho. That's Melody and Fred for me.

9. What are your thoughts on how series 1 ended? And if you could re-write the end, what would it be?

I think it ended well. Lulu and Anthony getting it together but him being ignorant of her feelings and Kate's "I know" cliffhanger

10. Would you like to see a series 2 of Crashing and if so what would you like to see in it?

Yes I would love a series 2. I'd rather it was a 45 minute show and played more as a comedy/drama (like Cucumber) than a sitcom. Less mugging from Kate would be nice too Much more Melody and Colin and Sam accepting he likes men a bit more. Even if he still acts like a t**t

1. How many stars would you give Crashing Series 1 as a whole (vote in the poll above) and why?

I said 4.  It's really like a 3 or 3.5 but I'm so happy to see Damien do some scripted humor again.  He's so good at it.

2. Give 3 words to describe Crashing

 Raunchy, kenetic, funnyish

3. Fave episode of the whole series?

I guess the dinner party episode.

4. Fave scene of the whole series?

I can't really say.  It probably involved Sam and Fred.

5. Top  3 quotes of the series? (any character)

Three is a lot. I don't remember word for word but I think the things that Melody said to Colin when he confronted her with the Colin look-alike paintings would rank up there.

6. Complete this sentence (in any way you like):

Anthony is....... indecisive and kind of a jerk.  Sorry.  Have to be honest.

7. vindalulu or katekorma - where do you stand?

Neither.  I was with Kate until she told Anthony she was pretending to be in love with him.  I never liked Lulu.  I think they should all be alone for a while and grow the hell up.

8. On a scale of 1 - 10 How much did you enjoy seeing Damien play Anthony and why? (1 being I really didn't like seeing him play this character, 10 being I loved seeing him play this character

7  - I don't really like the character (how he is written..not how Damien played him) but I've really enjoyed seeing the more fun side of Damien's acting range again.  He gave us light and dark so well with Hal.  We've seen the dark with other characters.  It's been nice to see some fun again.

9. What are your thoughts on how series 1 ended? And if you could re-write the end, what would it be?

I would have Kate leave Anthony and would have Lulu find out she wasn't all that interested in Anthony without the chase.  I would like to see Lulu and Anthony remain friends but not lovers.

10. Would you like to see a series 2 of Crashing and if so what would you like to see in it?

I would.  I would like to see more of the characters, but I would like it to calm down a bit.  It seems so rushed and over the top. I would like a little more depth.  I want to see Sam navigate a relationship with Fred.

1. How many stars would you give Crashing Series 1 as a whole (vote in the poll above) and why?

 4 *

2. Give 3 words to describe Crashing

 fun, frantic, dysfunctional

3. Fave episode of the whole series?

3 - I laughed all the way through

4. Fave scene of the whole series?

Difficult!  Possibly the discussion about Colin's wife's back garden - it might be a fresh, youthful new comedy but you can't beat a bit of old fashioned British innuendo!

I've got to give a shout out to the moment in ep6 when Anthony grabbed Lulu's arm when they'd said goodnight after discovering that Kate had already got back to the hospital.  I'm not a 'shipper' at all, in any way....but it was such a geniune, impulsive and decisive moment from Anthony.....

5. Top  3 quotes of the series? (any character)

1.  'I get how it's about being who you need to want to be in a world where needing to be someone is more about being who you think you need to be when really what we all need to do is sing.....man'

2.  'I only paid attention the the back garden.  More space for aggresive seeding and such.  It was rather a weekend passion of mine'

3.  'Keep crying.  Don't stop crying.  Think about how sad that makes you....'

...there are so many more brilliant lines in this....but I can't remember the quotes!  These 3 came to mind and I did a little skip through to find them.  When I get a chance for a proper re-watch I'll have to make a note of some!!

6. Complete this sentence (in any way you like

Anthony is.......confused, selfish, immature, frustrating.  But he does look good.. biggrin

7. vindalulu or katekorma - where do you stand?

 Neither!

8. On a scale of 1 - 10 How much did you enjoy seeing Damien play Anthony and why? (1 being I really didn't like seeing him play this character, 10 being I loved seeing him play this character

 10.  I don't know how else to answer a question that begins with the words 'How much did you enjoy seeing Damien...'

He was frustrating and funny, annoying and endearing.  Anthony wasn't my favourite character that Damien's played, but he was Anthony...

9. What are your thoughts on how series 1 ended? And if you could re-write the end, what would it be?

I liked the ending...

10. Would you like to see a series 2 of Crashing and if so what would you like to see in it?

Yes! to another series.  Pretty much agree with all that Mikey said - longer eps.....more 'drama'/less 'sitcom'....and less Kate 'mugging' (good term mikey!!)

Having an outsider (Will) who stirred things up, but also ultimately united them (and put the audience on the guardian's side against him) was good too  - so I'd hope they find a way to repeat that.....

Also agree with Ellie about a new location - it'd be interesting to see them in a new setting....but I do kinda feel that they haven't really exhaused the whole hospital location yet....a bit more could've been made of it - I guess Phoebe WB might not have actually known what the location was going to ultimately be when it was being written (any old disused building would have done) And, unless it's actually been demolished in the meantime, it would be easier to use the location they used before, than to start again!

* - I've just realised I didn't say why!  It wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but I've sat through hours of tv comedies which have barely raised a smile and this made me laugh out loud at least once in every ep.  Although the characters were initially all pretty annoying, I kinda grew to care about them (mostly) and really want to see their tangled relationships play out.

So....I've had a bit of a series rewatch today and I think I might like to change my favourite scene to the whole post Sam and Will kiss, Sam smacking Will/fight/Will 'I'm fantastic' scene.  That scene also contains some brilliant quotes - "Not now Anthony, there's some serious shit going down here and I'm just delighted it's not about us".  "Anyone else got anything they'd like to announce to the room before I start self-harming".  The whole of Will's rant is fantastic, but - "...and if that means spending time in this skanky hospital, surrounded by a bunch of insane and unattractive urban gyppo's....".  And finally "I think you need to leave the skanky hospital, Will".

1. How many stars would you give Crashing Series 1 as a whole (vote in the poll above) and why?

I give it 4 stars overall.  Total fun fest for the most part, some cringey moments I totally enjoyed, others just put me off.

2. Give 3 words to describe Crashing

Hilarious, wacky, raunchy.

3. Fave episode of the whole series?

The curry episode.

4. Fave scene of the whole series?

The scene around the table when Colin talked about his wife's garden.  The looks everyone else gave each other, the repressed laughter, and how they kept bating him into saying more innuendo while he remained oblivious, sent me into hysterics!

5. Top  3 quotes of the series? (any character)

I'll have to have a rewatch and come back to this.

6. Complete this sentence (in any way you like):

Anthony is.......

 Sweet but weak.

7. vindalulu or katekorma - where do you stand?

Neither.  They all need to go search for what they want in life, grow up a bit.  I think either pairing will be disastrous.

8. On a scale of 1 - 10 How much did you enjoy seeing Damien play Anthony and why? (1 being I really didn't like seeing him play this character, 10 being I loved seeing him play this character

I'd say about 8.  Damien did a fantastic job of becoming Anthony, convincingly nice and sweet, absolutely gorgeous to look at, but I don't like how inconsistent and indecisive his character is.  I admired Anthony for not being the macho stereotype at first. I liked the fact that his fiancee clearly was having intimacy problems but he didn't seem to take that as an affront, was encouraging her to work things out, and seemed to really be smitten with her. And his indecisiveness lead to the "love triangle", the characters' misinterpretations made for good laughs.  But there came a point where his indecisiveness became a turn off, especially on the last episode. I felt like slapping him and saying "what's wrong with you, grow a pair!"

9. What are your thoughts on how series 1 ended? And if you could re-write the end, what would it be?

I don't see how they could have ended it any different and set it up well for a S2.  On the surface Anthony made his decision, cowardly taking Lulu's suggestion he pick Kate because he couldn't make a decision himself, but we see where his heart really lies when he kissed Lulu again.  Had it ended without that tidbit, And Kate's "I'm not stupid." statement, there would have been less tension, less of a cliffhanger. Same with Sam sorta acknowledging his feelings for Fred but not coming right out.

10. Would you like to see a series 2 of Crashing and if so what would you like to see in it?

YES, YES, YES!!!  I'd like to say I wan't to see Anthony grow up, do right by one of the women and commit, but in the real world that would most likely mean the other left and that would drastically change the dynamic of the show.  I'd like to replace Lulu with someone else, but she is sorta the star so that won't happen.  I'd like to say Sam chill a bit, be happy with Fred, but Sam is too much of a drama queen to change drastically in a short period of time. I want Colin and Melody to be happy together, but then no angsty artist.  Really I say just bring on whatever new wackyness Pheobe Wallwhatever can conjour up, I'll tune in as long as Damo is innit. Oh also, more Jessica please.  Love her!

Still thinking! It would be hard for me to give Crashing anything less than 5 stars. I feel pressure to do so though because it's somehow uncool just to love something lots! It exceeded my expectations if anything. It's up there with one of my fave Damien projects of all.

1. How many stars would you give Crashing Series 1 as a whole (vote in the poll above) and why?
4 stars. I thought it was really hilarious and enjoyed it very much! But I am reluctant to give 5 stars just because I feel like that means it would have to be perfect and very few things are perfect. LOL

2. Give 3 words to describe Crashing
Hilarious, Awkward, Endearing

3. Fave episode of the whole series?
The one with the paint "fight". That episode made me laugh like no other! Between the onesie scene and Anthony giving up his shirt, Kate pooping on the floor, the weird Aunt... the whole thing made me laugh. Sam peeing on Fred's BF! LOL

4. Fave scene of the whole series?
OMG how could I pick?? I would say the whole part with the onesie and then Anthony getting the call, excusing himself and then coming back shirtless! LOL
OR
When Fred calls Sam a drama queen and then when he passes out Sam is screaming MY BEST FRIEND IS NEARLY DEAD

5. Top 3 quotes of the series? (any character)
Sam screaming My best friend is nearly dead
Anthony: Well this was misjudged
Melody: I don't know the exact quote but basically: On a scale from 1-10 how much do you love Colin, 10 being you would wear his skin if he died (or something like that)

6. Complete this sentence (in any way you like):
Anthony is... a wimpy baby, gorgeous, sexy, a lost puppy with no direction

7. vindalulu or katekorma - where do you stand?
As a character in general: katekorma

8. On a scale of 1 - 10 How much did you enjoy seeing Damien play Anthony and why? (1 being I really didn't like seeing him play this character, 10 being I loved seeing him play this character
8. I thought he did a great job as Anthony, and I loved seeing him doing comedy, but the character of Anthony left something to be desired.

9. What are your thoughts on how series 1 ended? And if you could re-write the end, what would it be?
I thought it was perfect! I was glad Anthony and Lulu finally hooked up, but they left it in the air so anything could happen in the next series. With all the characters really.

10. Would you like to see a series 2 of Crashing and if so what would you like to see in it?
YES!! For sure! Just more of the same hilarity in a new location!

Thank you for getting into this guys, such insightful responses and so good to read all your points of view!

A 4 stars Crashing rating is top of the poll at the moment and I thought it would be fun to put all 3 word descriptions of Crashing together:

Rosie: Fun, funny and flirty

shownomercy: funny, dirty, Damien

Ellie: Innovative, amusing, Damien

Jozie: Entertaining, dirty, funny

He's_A_Bloke: Filthy, sexy, fun

Random Jane: Raunchy, kenetic, funnyish

fifi: fun, frantic, dysfunctional

whimsy: Hilarious, wacky, raunchy.

LauraLizzie: Hilarious, Awkward, Endearing

Putting them all together (without repeats) Crashing is...

Fun, funny, flirty, dirty, Damien, innovative, amusing, entertaining, filthy, sexy, raunchy, kinetic, funnyish, frantic, dysfunctional, hilarious, wacky, awkward, endearing...

Agree? Disagree? come and join the discussion!
