Damien Molony set for new Sci Fi short ‘FELL’ – pledge to Kickstarter for EPIC rewards!
Thrilling news! Damien has been cast in an exciting new sci-fi short film FELL.
He will be playing “geek-chic, science wiz” Joel, alongside former Being Human co-star Tamla Kari as “witty, impulsive, emotionally tough cookie” Alice.
The intriguing tagline “nothing could have survived this” and premise “A couple’s star gazing date takes a sudden and dramatic turn when something unexpected falls to Earth” promise a compelling film.
From award-winning Director Fern Berresford and Co-Director Russell Warren, with award-winning director of photography Christopher Sabogal, FELL will be a short film that feels big and with high production values.
Watch the video below for an in-depth intro from the directors themselves.
FELL has already attracted industry support and won the Ideas Tap ‘Short Film Prize’. It was written as part of a bigger feature idea and the filmmakers plan to make it into a full feature film in the future.
Normally us fans have no powers to help a film project get made or not, but that is not the case with FELL. The filmmakers have set up a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the project.
An incredible selection of rewards are guaranteed to everyone who pledges, including:
WOW Coolness! Hal and Pearl -another Being Human reunion!!!

I really like the sound of this, I like quirky. It's fun contributing to a kickstarter. A friend of a friend was raising money to produce a film and it's now sold out at Tribeca!
The FELL page mentions there's a short window of opportunity for filming so it makes me wonder what's Damien going to be working on in the summer if they need to raise the money by May.
Damien's casting, and the BH reunion, but also the film itself - fab concept, talented directors and loving what they say about the tone - fill me with happiness! And the script has already won prizes!
Rosie I was thinking that too! Damien has to have been working on something this year already which we don't know about yet, and what else is lined up? Amazing news about your friends of a friend's film!
In terms of funding it would be very surprising (and all kinds of tragic) if the target is not met, with the pedigree attached (directors / casting / already prize winning).
I contacted the Fell Twitter page yesterday just as a courtesy, in terms of the DMF pages spreading the word at this early stage. They are planning on more widely announcing Damien's involvement next week, when dates and things are more finalised.
Meanwhile...
"Joel is the embodiment of ‘geek chic’ "
"Joel, our geek-chic, science wiz"
Did this photo come to mind for anyone else?
(I know it's more wizard that science wiz, but definitely geek!)
(p.s. I very much approve of "mesmerizing Damien Molony"..........)
Ooo!! This is exciting! Everything about this sounds great....and it would be something completely different for Damien again!! I really hope they get it off the ground.
Tamla Kari is on stage in This is Living with Michael Socha from mid May until mid June (I know because I'm going to see it at the beginning of June!! ) so I'm kinda guessing that they want to start filming around the end of June....
Yes fifi this sounds like complete different Damien again, I think he likes to try new things and roles and not repeat himself. I have to sponsor this film, I want to see it! I love this BH reunion, I would like to see these two together again!
Ooh fifi, remember tell everything about that play after you've seen it!
Considering that Tamla Kari is on stage until mid june and we now know that from Aug 3 Damo will be appearing in No Man's Land (and I presume he will have rehearsals before then ) they really are on a tight filming schedule......
So if you donate at the £500 level you can go see this film being made and hang out with Damien and Tamla at the end of June! I had inquired on the off chance (and dream) that I could go depending on when it was, but now No Man's Land is a thing, which fits better in my schedule and budget.

Just left my pledge! Since it's been established I can't go for filming, I wouse have gone for one with an invite to the London premier if it occurred during the time I will be there. But that can't be predicted, so I went with what I could reasonably give. It's so close to being funded! *crossing fingers*

And only one hour left, I almost forgot to do this and when I woke up and visited the forum I remembered that forgot to pledge! Thank god there was still time left... And they've already reach the target but I wanted to get involved (and get the digital download of the movie of course)
So pleased this reached it's target!! Disappointed that I won't be getting an invite to the premier.... but definitely looking forward to recieving a digital download
