Oh my god, I'm so excited I can't breathe! I very rarely go to the theatre as it's usually pretty expensive, but thought I'd push the boat out for Sirs Ian and Patrick - and now Damien's going it be in it too!!! I'm dancing on the ceiling!!! My seat is pretty much right at the back though, up in the nosebleeds, so I might have to take my binoculars, as I'm pretty sure no theatre has opera glasses anymore...

Love is my religion and I could die for that. I could die for you.
Littleimpulse, I started to go to the theatre when I was a child, my mam used to take me up in 'the gods' every week. It got so that if the doormman spotted us in the queue he would wave us to the front. I have seen some amazing actors and actresses going way back (many totally unheard of now). Now I'm older and can afford better seats, but having spent all my spare dosh now this year on theatre and concert tickets, thank you for reminding me that 'the gods' still exist and are affordable. The last thing I saw from up there was the Mikado, about twenty years ago.
I do wish I still had my autograph books, don't know what happened to them.
Aww, Eillie, your story was written such that I could see it in my mind's eye! I would very much love to see your autograph books too! I'm from The North and I have to be honest.... I did not see a single play at the theatre in my childhood (Well, that is a slight lie - I saw Les Miserables and Her Benny once each if they count, but that is all.)
Yes, isn't it fabulous that you can get to see this play for a tenner! I mean, I do think the experience of a play is usually better when you're closer... but then again you can pay any massive price for a ticket and end up sat behind someone who is 6 foot seven! And what a thing to see such fabulous actors for £10!
Aradia Zavion - I was at The Garrick Theatre recently and they had those little binoculars in the seat in front you could buy still! I don't think Wyndhams is THAT big though. The highest seats I think are very high, but I don't think any of the seats are ludicrously far from the stage? (I recently went to see People, Places and Things there which I had a £15 on-stage seat for and which was completely wonderful - I urge you all to go see it if you are at all able and I totally recommend those bargainous £15 on stage seats - you are literally amid the action and I had assumed, given the cheap price, the actors would never perform towards our direction, but they did! A lot. Wonderful!)
I'm so excited to see this play and to see Damien onstage again and in Newcastle this time. I don't have to beg my sister to come along with me (she travelled to London with me to see The Hard Problem last March). It's such an excellent line up, Sirs Ian and Patrick alone with Owen and added Damien... this will be so, so good!! :)
My ticket arrived in the post this morning, i'm way way WAY up in the Gods (the upper circle, though to be fair, there is another section higher, the Gallery)
Got a lot going on in August, family holiday, silver wedding anniversary (mine and OH's) the play, a 50th birthday party (not mine) and shopping with my tomboy daughter for a wedding outfit (my middle nephew is getting married in October, she'll be wearing a dress (she isn't a bridesmaid)....and it's going to be interesting, the last time she wore a dress, she was about 7, she's 15 now) ....
My ticket arrived for Cardiff today too....on the same day that I booked a ticket to see it in London! And my ticket also arrived for This is Living with Michael Socha and Tamla Kari. A pretty good day all round really
Wow! That is some pretty big company he's going to be keeping for this play. It's too bad I won't see it but I hope it brings him more TV/Movie work with big stars (what I mean by that is names that broader US audiences recognize) that make it to broad distribution in the US.
I'm looking forward to Tiger Raid and I was glad to recently see that Suspects is one of the top shows on Acorn now.

It's official, I have tickets for the hubby and I to go see this in Nov, and this time saemay is flying from Seattle to meet up too!!! Flying over this year was completely unplanned and unexpected, but I just can't seem to stay away from Damien. I mean England... This ensemble of actors was just too special to pass up! This is becoming a yearly thing... And I feel extremely lucky that we are able to go once again.
It's quite a large group going on the night we have tickets for, Nov 14th. Hopefully we wont scare Damien off! Nor Mr. Stewart or Mr. McKellen. I don't know what stage door opportunities there will be, but can you imagine standing close to and getting photos with all this talent?! Just being in the same space with them, watching their masterful storycrafting, will be a once-in-a-lifetime-tell-your-grandkids-about-it moment. I will be starstruck for sure.

Completely agree, this play could catapult Damien into stardom! His casting is even reported at Broadway.com At the very least, he should be getting that blue tick on Twitter (and Instagram). But seriously, this is going to be great for his career. I'm sure it was a humongous list of actors vying for this part! And I love how he said "pinch me" when he posted the announcement on Instagram.
That's cool that Suspects is getting some love on Acorn.

Lovely to see everyone coming along and commenting in this post on the forum! Happy to see everyone getting their tickets! Whimsy and Jozie coming from overseas is the most exciting of all!
This really is big, Big, BIG news! So utterly thrilled and delighted for Damien - he has worked non stop for years in every arena and so deserves an amazing role such as this!
It is almost still sinking in that our fave actor will appear with THE two sirs of acting. No Man's Land is also an intimate piece of theatre, just four characters, this makes the casting even more exciting somehow.
I'm very excited to see this, September was the only month I didn't have anything special except work so I had to pick that month, I would have liked to meet people from the forum and go to see this on November but I have too much going on right then But I can plan another stuff for few days in London and I got plenty of time to do that I hope I can say hi to Damien but also Sir Mckellen and Owen Teale cause I'm huge fan of those two gents too. We'll see how it goes
oh wabbit you must come to see this! I got a bit panicked when the news about this play came out, so I just looked over my calendar and checked which month I didn't have anything special going on and just bought a ticket and now I have to plan out the rest of the trip to London

Are you going to the show the others are going to or a different one?

Wabbit I'm going to see this on Saturday 17th of September, I have work and plans before and after so September was only good month for me and I have to keep my vacation days then. I would have wanted to go when other forum people go but I had to make decisions will I go to see this at all so I just picked up random date in September.
