This Christmas the Damien Molony Forum are fundraising for Age UK in our
King Lear Christmas Charity Prize Draw.
With the help of Damien and the entire cast of King Lear, we have one very exclusive item to give away – a special programme signed by all sixteen cast members. Enter the prize draw and it could be yours!
A single autograph from each of these renowned actors from the recent production at Chichester Festival Theatre is a treasure.
But a collection from the entire ensemble cast makes this a unique and extraordinary prize.
Take a look at them all below!
Damien (Edmund)
Sir Ian McKellen (King Lear)
Jonathan Bailey (Edgar)
Kirsty Bushell (Regan)
Richard Clews (Gentleman Informer / Old Man)
Sinéad Cusack (Countess of Kent)
Phil Daniels (Fool)
John Hastings (Curan / Doctor)
Dervla Kirwan (Goneril)
Tamara Lawrance (Cordelia)
Dominic Mafham (Duke of Albany)
Jake Mann (Duke of Burgundy)
Michael Matus (Oswald)
Caleb Roberts (King of France / British Captain)
Patrick Robinson (Duke of Cornwall / Albany’s Man)
Danny Webb (Earl of Gloucester)
(Please note: The watermarks in the photos are for display purposes only and not in the actual programme.)
The programme also contains exclusive cast rehearsal photos by Manuel Harlan, actor and creatives biographies, a play synopsis and a ‘King Lear and our age of uncertainty’ introduction by Fergal Keane.
The themes in King Lear are reflected in our choice of charity. Age UK helps more than 7 million people each year, providing companionship, advice and support for older people who need it most.
A donation of £2.50 gives you one entry into the prize draw, and will help to support their work in enabling older people in the UK to be more independent and to combat loneliness. You can enter as many times as you like, each £2.50 counts as one entry.
If you would like to make a difference to the lives of older people this Christmas, please help us to raise as much as possible by donating to this very worthy charity at a very challenging time of year for many.
Every penny donated will go to Age UK and each donation helps. Not only that, every donation will be entered into the draw for the chance to win this one of a kind prize.
Brilliant prize! Well done on getting hold of it Domino, and thanks to DaMo and the cast for donating it.
Many of those actors must have networks of fans. Maybe we could volunteer to research a couple each to see if we can find ways to reach them? The actors themselves may be happy to tweet followers etc?
I'm expecting some PayPal funds so I'll hang on to see if those arrive and make my donation then.
Oh it is an EPIC prize Rosie! Every single actor - and these are AMAZING actors I'm sure we all agree - took the time to sign the programme. All thanks to Damien for arranging this and physically gathering the aitographs!
Tank you for all your help with organising the prize draw Rosie, my marvellous Molonian Moderator. It may have taken us a long old while behind the scenes, but what better cause!
Yes it's truly brilliant Maghat! Thank you Don't worry, we have an action plan for helping get the word out there and had already thought about other fansites and more. All in good time!
The lucky few who went to see the play may have bought a programme and, if even luckier, managed to have it autographed by Damien or one or two actors, like you and the other forumers who saw the play.
But... how many people have a programme signed by the entire cast I wonder?

You're right. Nobody has such a unique programme.
I had already considered whether I can participate at all, since I already have a program with a signature. But it is a good charity. And, no need to be afraid, I've never won anything in my life.

Sana, it is your decision entirely of course, but if you want to donate, and I hope you do, you have as much chance as anyone of winning and as much right to enter!
Age UK are doing such good work and this time of year is important for the charity and for vulnerable and isolated older people.
Wow! Such an awesome prize!! It's fantastic that the entire cast have signed it - surely that makes it pretty unique!
And a very relevant and worthy cause too.
Thanks for organising this domino (and rosie!) I know it takes a lot of work, and the forum fundraisers make me so proud to be a member of this community - even if I'm MIA a lot of the time!!
Thank you fifi, this is our fourth fundraiser inspired and because of Damien's work, I'm proud too!
The programme itself is quite a rare thing, considering it was a limited run in a small venue. A total collector's item. And then there's the fact that Damien himself organised the signings, and that it has been through the actual hands of all these wonderful actors, and then on top of that, all the autographs! Not to mention the wonderful photography!
The fundraising target at £250, but I feel this is the MEGA prize and hope to be able to raise this target.
Just think - if every member of the forum entered by donating just £2.50, we would raise nearly £3.5k!
