Aw that was kind of you Ellie, wonder if we will ever find out who it was? Maybe they will find their way to the forum It is always great to meet new Damien fans!
So - despite the fact that I've been to see Damien a number of times, I find the whole stage door thing a bit.....difficult so there aren't many pictures!
The first time I actually slipped into a 'stage door' photo was at the BFI 'Cool gothic and the new vampire event' (can't believe that was 5 years ago!!!!)
Thanks to Trevor for the photo
But the first time I actually spoke to Damien face to face was in the pub(!) after The Body of an American - not sure if this counts because it's not actually at the stage door and I'm not actually in the pic, but I was standing next to him and he is signing my programme. And so it's my favourite stage door photo....
Photo credit to Laura - thanks Laura
It's funny that the last photo was taken in the pub, because the next one is across a barrier! Ironically when I went to see No Mans Land in Cardiff, I got a photo of my daughter with Ian McKellan, and got my programme signed....by Ian McKellan, but didn't manage to see Damien at the stage door because of the crowds.....waiting to see Ian McKellan!!! But I did manage to get my programme signed by Damien when I went to it at the Wyndham's Theatre in London.
I had no idea this picture was being taken -
thanks Mikey!!
And finally - King Lear in Chichester. I also didn't know this picture was being taken - if my husband hadn't arrived when he did it would never have happened!
Ah...I've really enjoyed finding these photos and reminiscing over them - thanks domino!!
Wonderful fifi! So good of you to share your photos and so good to see them. Thank you!
Love them all, but my fave is the bottom one of you with Damien after King Lear, it's really special
Any poss that you have bigger versions, there may be a slight size issue in the final gallery. But don't worry if not!
I have the full file of photos teat the lovely Trevor took at the BFI event, didn't feel right to include all the group shots without everyone giving permission if you know what I mean. But, I can't imagine anyone would mind?
This is something I cannot do. No matter how much someone would tell me, how lovely they were and how much they love meeting fans. It wouldn't matter with me, I just couldn't. For me, If I like someone I don't want them to know. I know I'm odd.
I've been to concerts and while friends have waited at the stage door, I have waited for my friend well away from the stage door.
Thing is though if it was someone I didn't like I would be quite happy to talk to them.

There is probably a forum topic somewhere where forumers have shared their individual views on stage door situations Ann, and it is certainly a valid discussion. This is probably not the right place for it though.
Lovely photos, fifi. So natural - I really love them as he isn't posing at all, it's just him being normal (does that make sense???)
Agree Ellie, makes total sense... and lovely to see. Damien has always been very gracious with stage door photos, when he is able. Thanks again for sharing fifi!
I was thrilled to meet Damien at the stage door for The Hard Problem. He was incredibly gracious and polite and wanted to make sure that the picture turned out OK for me which was really kind of him.
Rosie! this is just so... thank you for sharing! Look at you having your Damien moment! Of course he was a gentleman to our marvellous moderator What a kind and lovely man Damien is, proud to be a fan
