He took part alongside creator, writer and star Roisin Conaty, fellow cast Caroline Ginty (Caroline) and Carl Theobald (therapist) and director Andrew Chaplain. The event included an exclusive screening of episodes 1 and 2 and a Q & A hosted by Brett Goldstein.
Damien, Roisin Conaty and others shared photos of the Channel 4 event, revealing the cast on stage in front of a big screen showing artwork for the new series.

More photos have been shared by Elliot Gonzales of italktelly.com, who also revealed GameFace series 2 will air on Channel 4 in July (next month!), but an official air date is yet to be revealed.
They do look really relaxed and happy on that stage - I can imagine the nerves of doing something like that, so smiley faces are good to see!
I am feeling hugely green with envy of the press and bloggers who were there, not just because they saw the first 2 episodes (so exciting!!) but also because it included a Q & A and usually we only get snippets of that in whatever the press decides to release during the promo for the show. I want to see the whole damn thing!
I was only thinking about how our international friends will watch this morning Sana, we know the US will have GameFace on HULU, and series 1 was also available in Australia and New Zealand, but it would be great to see wider distribution, in Europe for example.
Bleeding Cool have shared a recording of the Q & A at the GameFace 2 Press screening and a preview!
At the Q & A are Andrew Chaplain (director), Karl Theobold (Therapist), Damien (Jon) Caroline (Caroline), Roisin Conaty (Marcella, creator) hosted by Brett Goldstein
I've transcribed Damien's part, but it contains spoilers - you've been warned!
Spoiler
Brett G: Damien you’re very sexy in this..
Roisin: What an opener...
Brett G: I mean, this is going to embarrass both of you, but it’s a very sexy kiss, I found it sexy and I don’t now what the word is, a combination of sexy and emotional, I had an emotional boner during that, did you all feel that way?
Roisin: should have checked the questions (?)
Brett G: Maybe this is an embarrassing question...
Roisin: 100 percent, it is
Brett G: Is it just in the moment, a scene like that do you plan it, do you prepare for it or anything like that? Is it just Let’s have a go.. it’s really electric
Roisin: I’m pretty tense, Damien’s like a proper actor...
Damien Oh.. um
Roisin: ..Damien’s like, “it’ll be alright”. Where I’m, “don’t film me from the side. don’t film me from the side!”
Damien: I think I remember actually on set that day we weren’t sure which way we wanted to go with it. There was a version where we don’t kiss and one that goes, ( aside: deleted scene), but it’s kind of a really tender moment , it felt like it took a whole series for these 2 guys, who have a real kind of attraction to each other, to get together and it’s kind of torn away from them, so cruelly
Brett G: Yeah it’s really frustrating actually, you’re very good
It looks like the video of the Q & A has been removed, hope everyone had the chance to watch it.
But did you all see this?
"Gameface does something very new and distinct. there is a moment at the end of the second episode that will not only outrage the Daily Mail and Twitter, probably, with what may be seen as gross comedy that just doesn’t get seen on television, but also combined with a true sense of empathy and heartbreak for Roisin, but also reveal real care from who could have just have been dismissed as the hot driving instructor, Damien Molony off of Being Human as Jon, shows a proper connection between the two that transgresses the usual, while also being utterly relatable and funny. I have never seen anything straddle those worlds so successfully, and that sums up the show as a whole."
