Episode 1: Ireland: Coast and Country
Summary
The Emerald Isle as seen through the eyes of those who call it home, beginning with an underwater photographer capturing magical wild dolphins in Liscannor Bay. Other highlights include a chef whipping up a dessert made from dahlias in Drimoleague, at the country's first edible-flower farm, and a trio of septuagenarian rock climbers proving that age is just a number in Wicklow Mountains National Park.
Very much approve of this approval from The Times! (They might mean the show in general, but to me this reads that Damien narrating the show gives Tourism Ireland "a massive boost" )
Words cannot describe how much I adored this programme and not just for Damien's voice. It was magical and sweeping and gentle and very much needed. Food for the soul!
The photography and scenery was staggeringly beautiful. Damien's narration was perfectly pitched in tone and enhanced without intruding. So glad he was cast, I may well not have watched if not and it is a truly lovely TV.
I loved this - I used to pile not far from the Burren and the goats are so agile. Lovely to see parts of Ireland I know well.
Damien was so good at narrating, his voice was perfect.
