Listening right now, the first poem was so lovely! Very intense.

I like when Damien reads intense poems, you really sank in the poem, like in the other world. It's amazing, how he can slow my heartbeat by lowering his voice and talking intensively.

After listening Raven there's a different when Damien reads poetry, he is great story teller but he is also very talented reading romantic and strong poems.

Could that poem be more fitting for Hal?!?!

And be the singing-masters of my soul.
Consume my heart away; sick with desire
And fastened to a dying animal
It knows not what it is; and gather me
Into the artifice of eternity.

Once out of nature I shall never take
My bodily form from any natural thing,
But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make

Of what is past, or passing, or to come.

I agree Jozie, there's something very magical in his poetry reading.  The steady cadence, the quiet intensity, punctuated by occasional rises... transportive and beautiful.

Thanks for the heads up domino!

I did get to listen live...but there were too many distractions - it really needs some quiet solitude (and ideally a set of headphones) to do it proper justice!  Thankfully I've had that opportunity now.  I agree that it's a real treat listening to Damien read poetry - hope there'll be more still to come.....

Finally got around to listening to this. To be honest Damien could read the phone book and he would do it beautifully!
