Despite the reassuring response from Altitude on Wednesday, there is not a sign of cinema screenings for Tiger Raid for tomorrow, so perhaps we can, sadly, assume the 'tbc' part of their statement is open ended...
oh. This is really disappointing news.....or lack of news... We've been waiting to see this film for such a long time...and the date 7th Oct has been imprinted on my mind for months! Fingers crossed that however open ended "tbc" may prove to be, this film will still be screened "in select cinemas" at some point. I'll be gutted if it only ever got seen on the big screen at film festivals - before the official release date - and I didn't get to see it! Obviously I've got it pre-ordered on DVD But from what we've seen of this film it totally deserves to be a big screen experience.
I share your sadness fifi and I'm sure we're not alone It's not just the Damo On The Big Screen thing, but having closely and excitedly followed the journey for two years and as you say had the release date in mins since it was announced.
Still, it is incredibly cool that TR, a relatively small indie, is going to he available on DVD and digital download on iTunes!
I was really hoping it would be showing at a cinema near me soon and was waiting almost in breathless anticipation today, sure that I would find something on the forum. I did but, unfortunately, not what I was expecting.
I go to the pictures every week and believe me I sometimes wonder how on earth something ever got made, much less released and picked up. Tiger Raid sounded excellent and the clips we've seen only added to the eagerness to view. I feel sure it would be a success.
This makes me so furious! Almost as furious as The Devil You Know not getting picked up. But at least with Tiger Raid, it will be released on DVD & iTunes UK. But it deserves a wide release in the theater! Grrrrrrr.

Hi Becca, yes this seems to be the TR line on the cinema release, others have had twitter DMs too. I've been in email contact with the TR peeps too.. but not wanted to give a definitive answer here while Altitude still maintain (by email) it will be shown in select cinemas, which is either the case, or a very odd thing to say! Either way, the 7 October has been and gone, with no sign of any showings. I'm just happy the DVD and VoD release is going ahead!
BTW, please feel free to join the TR conversation when you've seen it!
